Severus and Harry smiled at the nuptial joy around them. The wedding ceremony was a big one. There were hundreds of guests in a huge hall, and decorations and flowers were everywhere.

Harry looked at his husband of thirty years. Severus hadn't changed much. Oh, yes, his hair was streaked with gray now, and there were lines around his eyes and mouth, but he still retained his general demeanor and zest for life. Harry's hair was still entirely black and his face was unlined, but his face was more mature and less boyish.

And they were still as in love as they had been thirty years ago, when they had gotten married.

"Ready to watch our little girl get married?" Harry asked softly.

Severus snorted. "I find it more unbelievable whom she's marrying, not that she's marrying."

Harry chuckled. "Oh, please. Given our history, it's not that surprising that she'd cross the same generational boundary I did."

"So I suppose I shouldn't mention he's old enough to be her father?"

"Nope," Harry answered cheerfully. "You're old enough to be mine, after all. You were in the same year as my dad."

The doors opened, and the groom walked in. He was impeccably dressed in open white robes above a white suit.

"Hi, Neville," Harry greeted. "It's good to see you again."

Neville blushed slightly. "Hi, Harry, Professor Snape." Amazingly, he no longer stuttered when he addressed his soon-to-be father-in-law.

Harry elbowed Severus surreptitiously. Severus smiled slightly and said, with a trace of amusement, "Given that you are about to marry my daughter, you may call me Severus."

"Go take your place," Harry advised. "The ceremony will start soon."

Neville nodded and rushed to his place.

Severus watched him go with a resigned expression. "Why him?" he asked softly.

"Oh, shush," Harry admonished. "Neville's a good man, even if he was crap at Potions. And Nora loves him." He looked at Severus. "Besides, most people asked me the same question when I married you. Not that I regret it."

Severus smiled. "I know. And if he makes Nora happy…"

"I rather think he will. He's a very loving person. They're good for each other."

"You're rather sanguine about the whole thing," Severus commented.

"Why wouldn't I be? I like Neville. He was a good friend when we were in school. Sev, especially given the age difference between us, we can't say anything about the difference between theirs. And I know Neville would never hurt Nora."

Severus draped an arm across Harry's shoulders. "I love it when you're rational, logical, and collected."

"Mm," Harry smiled. "Ah, well. I simply love you."

The wedding march started. "Here she comes," Harry said softly. "She's beautiful."

Nora entered. Her long black hair hung free, and her dazzling green eyes shone brightly. She wore a beautiful, flowing white dress, and she carried a bouquet of flowers.

Harry and Severus' hearts were warmed by Nora's joyful smile. Even Severus was ready to give his nuptial blessing now.
