Chapter 1 - The Right Decision?

Hi, my name is Caitlin Snow. I have a boyfriend. His name is Barry Allen. Last week he set up a party with Cisco, Harrison Wells, Iris, Eddie, Captain Cold and Lisa Snart to celebrate Harrison Wells getting leg surgery. He can now walk. We are all really good friends, although two are evil villains who have managed to escape from us multiple times.

Well that week, changed my life forever. For good or bad? Who knows?

I arrived on time for the party. Joe was out of town for a week. The house was free, so Barry decided to have the party there. I turned up in an ankle length, silver, strapless, sparkly dress, it also has diamonds up to my stomach.

'You look beautiful tonight, Caitlin,' Barry complimented. I feel myself blushing. I hope nobody noticed. Oh no! Eddie has noticed me. I try to look away but he has already seen me. Barry shows me the living room. I sit down next to Iris. Barry comes and sits next to me. We are just waiting for Cisco, Harrison and Captain Cold. Finally they all arrive. We start by playing Truth or Dare. Cisco starts since he arrived last. He chose truth. Hmm I wonder what we will ask. We all huddle and Barry has a great idea.

'Cisco, tell us your most embarrassing moment,' Barry says with a huge grin spread from ear to ear.

'When I was about 12 years old, there was this girl I liked. I finally had a chance to prove to her that I was smart AND could sing. She knew I was smart, but she didn't know I could sing-' Cisco started.

'You can sing?!' I yell out. This completely shocked me, I only thought Cisco was smart, 'You never told us that, you need to sing for us tonight.'

'Maybe. To continue my story, I walked onto the stage. I was singing a love song in front of the whole school. I looked into her eyes and I fell off the stage, I was so nervous. Afterwards, I heard her say to her friends and say 'Such a weird person' I was so embarrassed.'

We all laughed after that story. It was funny, but I did feel sorry for him. It was my turn next. I have had WAY too many embarrassing moments and I am NOT sharing them with my friends. So I choose dare. Harrison Wells stands up to go to the kitchen to get a drink. I turn to Iris, she has an evil look on her face. I jump back with surprise.

'I have a great dare for Caitlin,' she boldly said. She leans in close to my ear and whispers, 'I dare you to go up to Harrison Wells and ask him out.' I am completely shocked. I have had a crush on him for ages, when did Iris know and I am dating Barry. I looked at him and he nods. I can't believe he is okay with this.

I finally bring up enough courage and walk into the kitchen. He is standing there holding a glass full of water.

'Harrison, I have kept my feelings for you a secret for a long time now,' I see his jaw dropping but I bravely continue, 'I want to know if you feel the same way about me. Will you go out with me on a date?'

He accidentally drops the glass on the floor. I crouch down on the floor to mop up the water. I am really embarrassed now, I made him so nervous he smashed the glass.

'I would love to go out with you Caitlin,' he says. I look back up and smile at him. My head is pounding, I now how two boyfriends. Did I make the right decision?
