Hey people! I was supposed to write an AkuRoku for my two fangirl friends (Yes - Nami and Riku, I mean you), but I was distracted and churned out this little thing. I'm kind of of a noob when it comes to KH, because I totally suck at video games. xD Not terrible for 5 minutes, I guess.

Love love love,

Kiwi.

Every day, the island would welcome the three children, and let them bask in the sun and practice fighting monsters and dream of sailing far from this place. The island was theirs.

It is night. The three friends are there, on the beach, discussing futures and promises worlds just beyond their reach, in the small mind of a child, it is perfect.

----

The girl child is standing there, short auburn hair fluttering and shoes digging in the sand, tears all gone, the other children nowhere to be found. Her hand reaches forward, past the never-ending ocean, to the world she knows, she feels, is there. Where he is. He'll come back, he promised.

---

There aren't children on the beach anymore; all three have left their paradise. The girl glances at the island from atop a hill, and the island looks lonely. She remembers the faces of the boys in her head, Riku and – the boy whose name she cannot say. She writes him letters often, sealing them in old bottles, hoping he'll find them sometime. But the letters do not have an addressee – the boy's name is far away. Lost somewhere.

A simple name, for the boy that means so much…..

"What's his name?"

"I'll give you a hint…starts with an "S"

"Isn't that right, So-ra?"

She wastes no time in taking the bottle to sea. The island watches as the bottle disappears.

There are many worlds, but they all share the same sky--

One sky, one destiny

--

The island knows they are returning, and it is happy, knowing it'll be able to feel the runnings of feet – though not as tiny as before. The island's children have grown up.

"Sora!" "Riku!"

"We're back!"

"You're home."And the girl smiles and takes his hand – with their promise inside, entwined in their fingers.

That night, the three not-children-anymore lay, on the beach once more, and discuss their past together, and the worlds that they've seen, and what lies ahead, and in their minds, it is perfect.

And all at once, the island feels very small, a tiny part in a very huge new world.

END.
