In response to the challenge by APieceOfGumIsNotStuckInMyHair: "This time, I want you girls to write a short biography for a character of choice - yes, biography. In 100 words."
Blonde hair cascading,
Like the tears down my face as I survey
The devastation all around.
Devastation I partook in.
How many here lie,
Their blood raining from Above?
Their convictions strong in their hearts, even now.
Convictions that Death could not steal.
That Death made Immortal.
They live on in the sea of faces that surrounds me, hoping, praying, believing.
The strongest of the Black sisters,
A background character by choice,
Content to be glue, binding my family together.
Never acknowledged, never appreciated.
But it is worth it.
It does not matter.
It is enough to be a mother.
