Disclaimer: I don't own Naruto. How many more times do I have to say that?
Chapter 1: Prologue
She woke up to a comforting warmth, and arms wrapped tight around her. Just like all other mornings she woke up like this, she closed her eyes and thanked Kami it wasn't a dream. She wished she didn't have to get up, but she had to. She stopped cuddling and moved back a bit, and kissed the man on his lips. He jerked awake, but settled when he saw her. His mouth went into the wide grin he was known for, and he held her for a moment before speaking.
"C'mon, do I really have to get up?" She gave a laugh, but kissed him again and looked him in the eyes.
"Yes. Who else could manage being Kage of a combined Kumo and Konoha?" She smiled at him. She still remembered when Kumo and Konoha were joined, it was a miracle considering the dislike they had of each other before. It would've been worse had Kumo done what it wanted. Kumo's original plan was to kidnap Hinata, but then the Raikage of that time passed away. The new Raikage, A, quickly converted the plan and sent him off to do what was said: sign a peace treaty. While the council screamed its frustrations, he calmly repelled and destroyed all arguments(After he had beaten down an innumerable amount of training dummies). Konoha had battled them to a standstill, nearly defeated them. They couldn't risk a revitalized, warring Konoha.
After that was a long story, filled with pride, loss, victory, retreat, and everything else war had. It was a true miracle any of the villages managed to survive. But, she knew when it had needed a hero the most, a small band of people managed to complete what was thought to be impossible. How her husband and lover came into it, was straight from the beginnings of his career. She was much later in the story, but she knew how it began. It was a long story...So very long. The first obstacle in his ninja path set him straight. He began humbly, and ended up the strongest anyone could ever believe.
This was just a short intro to the whole thing. The story will be far more canonical than my other, though the other could technically be its' own thing and just borrow characters. This is my first 'true' Naruto story, since the other is Naruto-Oblivion.
