They wreckage was profound and abundant, the castle was calm and serene. Wanderers, possibly former champions, came through the village with supposed documents from Castlevania itself. This is one excerpt that is believed to be true, written by a person who was stranded amongst its halls, this is from it's pages:

" I say to you, thou brother,

His grace never became clearer to thyself,

Once thine feet made its way onto that black floor.

His keep bright and oblique, like marble not even made by this earth.

Thou brother, I saw the walls change.

They melted, grinding to a rusted dullness,

In His lobby, the foundations crafted by the demons,

Thy demons of man, those who would forsake,

The souls of their own and their family.

These forsaken souls built the gate,

This gate that sealed my fate.

For shame and sadness, am I sealed in this Castle.

I say to you, thou brother,

The steps climbed higher and higher.

The lobby slipped away as dreams do, as I stepped higher,

Through the spires that struck the sky.

The towers, numerous and bizarre,

Spoke of many sins.

The tower of gluttony,

Its walls bled and pulsed as if alive.

The tower of brutality, red and black,

It's walls shined with the blood of others.

The tower of mirage,

Inventions of twisted design, created thine nightmares.

As my body writhed in pain,

I stepped past these visions of His creation.

Calm and serene, the clock tower opened without a whisper,

Its many clocks could pierce my heart with their sound.

Before the exit of the clock tower,

My eyes cried as I read a story etched upon this wall.

But hark, the stairway to the heavens stretched out before me,

I could not see the end.

I say to you, thou brother,

I've stepped before the keep,

His throne glistening to the dead,

I fell to my knees,

Then I saw the harkening darkness that was to befell my great land,

And I was powerless.
