Moon light
I'm different from everyone; I'm not the same as anyone and the only one of my kind. I've wondered for centuries to find a place to a place to call home for once, in so long. I don't know if I believe in God or if there is one but, I give my thanks to the one who did make a place for me.
"I'm glad you've joined our family; Cassandra," said Mr. Cullen.
"Oh, no, I mean I should be thanking you for letting me be a part of your family; Mr. Cullen," I said nervously.
"Well then the pleasure is all mine," He said with a smile, he truly was a gentleman, "By the way, you can call me Carlisle and you can call my wife, Esme. He waved his hand then he flitted to his side. Like her husband she greeted me with a loving smile.
"It's nice to finally to meet you," she Esme giving a hug. I've always what it would be like having a mother to hug me. This is what it would feel like an embrace of reinsurance that you're not alone and you have nothing to fear anymore.
"So how was your flight over here?" she asked after our hug. I never imagine people so loving and caring after so little time together, they were the true definition of a family.
"Oh, yeah the flight from England was very pleasant," I said and couldn't stop smiling like an idiot.
"That's good to hear even though you mustn't be tired would you like to know where you will be staying," she said even though I knew what she was talking about was absolutely exhausted; they must never find out the truth about me.
They gave me a tour around the house and how everything runs. They showed me where my room would be. I put what little I had to show that this was my room. "Thank you so much Mr. and Mrs. Cullen," I said trying to hold back tears threatening to show.
"Oh dear, you are very welcome; we just wanted you to feel more at home," she said resting a hand on my shoulder.
"You should know if you want to you can, attend school with the others; if you like to," he said.
I never attended to a school before," I said imagining me at school with other humans. "But… what if I try to um, hurt them," I never want to do that again. That was the biggest issue of coming to this family; not to kill humans anymore.
"Well, we're going to ask Alice as soon as she gets back with the others," he said.
"What can she do?" I asked.
"She sees into the future," he responded.
"Oh," that's all I could say, "Does anyone else have special abilities?"
"Yes, two others, Jasper can control the emotions of anyone," he said. Hm, that's interesting I never heard of anyone who had that power. "And the other named Edward, has the ability to mind read." He said with a smile then said, "Well we have no secrets to hide anyway." That just sent shivers down my spine. Everyone but me I thought.
