Bakura shot an akward glance at his hikari. Tears were running down Ryou's face, and for once, Bakura had no idea why. Or how to stop it.
"Umm...Ryou? You wanna...talk?" Bakura hates 'talking', he'd much rather have Ryou wrapped in his arms, but if it made him stop crying... When Ryou shook his head, Balura felt both relief and least there would be no talking.
"Babe," Bakura mummered, scooting closer and trying to wrap an arm around Ryou's shoulder. But to his surprise, Ryou leapt forward and wrapped his arms tightly around Bakura's waist. He looked up in shock to see Marik who was standing outside the window and yelling something that looked suspicouslly like 'Abort the misson! Get the hell out of there!' But Bakura was too stubborn to be scared. Until Ryou started talking.
"Don't leave me. Not again. Please, 'Kura. Please, not again."
Bakura looked down at the cute boy curled against his abdomen and knew he should feel joy. After all, he'd gotten what he wanted. Ryou's body next to his... on his last days. Bakura knew he was dieing. And Ryou, bless his poor heart, hadn't spoken to or touched Bakura since he found out. It was almost as if he was trying to forget how much he loved him.
"Ryou," Bakura whispered in a ragged voice, cupping his lover's face in the palm of of his hand, " I can't do anything. It's too both know that."
"But, 'Kura!" Ryou said, suddenly sitting uo and scooting closer. His legs wrapped around Bakura's waist and his hands fidgeted on his shoulder, "I can't lose you again! I just got you back! I...I..." Ryou couldn't continue, and the sobs shook his body. And Bakura did the only thing he could possibly do. He pulled Ryou's lips down and kissed him like ther was no tomorrow. But Ryou wriggled aout of his grip and violently shook his head.
"No! Don't...not like that. Don't kiss me like its the last time. Kiss me like we have forever. Like we never have to let go," Ryou pleaded with his lover. And Bakura looked up at the young one and nearly choked on uncried tears.
"As you wish," Bakura whispered, and wrapped his arms around his last moments of peace.
