A/N- For Christmas break, all the Weasley cousins are at the Burrow, along with Scorpius because Albus invited him.

Rose's body shook with silent sobs. Her mind was filled with those miserable worries and fears that are so secret, only a mother is trustworthy enough to hold... Yet to the rest of the world, they seem trivial, even foolish. But for once, her mother's comforting arm and reassuring words didn't appeal to Rose in the least. Grabbing a blanket, she slipped out of the bed that she was sharing with Lily and sneaked downstairs, careful to make as little noise as possible. Hesitantly, she pushed open the door and stepped outside into the night. It was past midnight, and the air was distinctly colder than usual. Rose wrapped the blanket tighter around her. Taking a few steps forward, she gazed up at the night sky.
"It's beautiful," she murmured to herself. After a moment, Rose lay down on the grass, blanket covering her, and stared up at the stars.
Orion's Belt, Orion, Big Dipper, Little Dipper, Cygnus... Rose stared up at the sky, the tears on her cheeks slowly drying. Looking up at the sky, the entire universe, caused Rose to remember how tiny she was in the scheme of things, how insignificant her troubles were in a world of mysteries. She took a few deep breaths, transfixed. After some time, it could have been a minute or an hour, Rose heard a rustling noise. Her head jerked up as she caught sight of a figure moving toward her.
"Scorpius!" she exclaimed, recognizing the person at once.
"Rose," he said, sounding startled. "Why- I mean, what are you doing here?"
"Same as you, I suppose. I needed some time to think." Rose tried not to show her irritation. She had come outside to think, to be alone, but even at midnight you couldn't have some time to yourself at the Burrow. Scorpius lay down next to her and took her hand. While any other time, this would have sent shivers down Rose's back, she tensed slightly, waiting for him to speak. But he didn't. He simply gazed up at the stars with her, equally captivated by their beauty. After a moment, Rose relaxed and laid her head down once more.
"It helps," she whispered.
"I know it does."
A/N- Okay, I sort of just came out with this in a little under an hour; clearly not my best... But, constructive criticism is encouraged, as always. Please review with your honest response- feedback helps a LOT.
