Lauren looked at Loralie with pleading eyes, "Promise me you won't tell anyone I'm here, please, Loralie..." she said, almost whimpered, "I can be expelled..." she said, blinking back tears.
Loralie bit her lip and looked away from her twin's eyes. She knew she had to decide. She didn't want to tell the professors about this, but she really should. On the other hand... Lauren was her twin, her sister, and she couldn't let her be in trouble. Loralie opened her mouth, ready to say no. She had covered for Lauren so many times, and this was the last. Loralie looked Lauren in the eyes.
"I promise..." Loralie said, regretting saying that immediately, "but promise me, that you won't come here again, that you'll abandon that plan of yours," Loralie pleaded.
"Of course, I promise," Lauren said with a smiled as she hugged her sister, "thank you!" she said before the Slytherin gathered her things and left with a huge grin on her face.
That was in their sixth year. And the summer of it had passed by quickly, in the blink of an eye, it was once again time for school. Yawning, Loralie woke up grinning. After getting ready, Loralie walked next door and rapped on the door three times before opening it, to see Lauren stuffing something quickly into her trunk. Loralie was a bit suspicious of it, but disregarded it. Lora dismissed it as her twin just being lazy and doing last minute packing.
"Ah, running a bit slow today, aren't we?" Loralie teased her twin playfully with a twinkle in her eye.
Lauren tucked a stray piece of hair behind her ear, "Uh... yeah, I forgot to pack some stuff," she said simply before grabbing the handle, "Let's go now, actually, you head on first," Lauren said with a shrug of her shoulders.
Loralie just smiled brightly, "Alright, I'll be at the platform... see you later?" she said a bit questioningly.
"Of course!" Lauren lied cheerfully and gave her sister a wave before she left.
When Lauren was sure her sister was gone, from the sound of the car pulling out of the driveway, she closed the door behind her and leaned against it, relieved that Loralie was gullible. She took the book out once more and smirked. The dark, leather bound bookwith the silver name emblazoned on the bottom of the back and on the front a few words...
