A/n: So... its summer and I'm bored. So I decided to aid my intense case of being super impatient for the new season of Bones. So I did what I do when I need to calm my sickness. I write. It's a one shot- enjoy!

Thoughtfully, and Anticipating November,

What's in a Name?

"Any ideas?" Booth asked, addressing the company.

They'd all gathered around. It was almost a game to them.

Names spewed from their family and friends' lips all around. It was infectious- everyone wanted a chance to give them their suggestion on a designation for her expected child. They all knew something, something Brennan knew too. She already had a name. But she dared not steal their chance of attempting to give her little wonder a name.

"Erika,"

Angela presented from her spot at the couch. Those sitting around her, Hodgens, Cam, Bones' father and the thoughtful parents of the expected baby girl looked at her curiously.

"What? It's exotic."

"Mmmh. I don't like it." Booth shook his head, peeking at his girlfriend who watched him intently.

"Lucy." Ms. Wick presented from her spot beside Sweets.

"Australopithecus afarensis?" Brennan asked looking up quickly. She hadn't been paying much attention until that point... but because it had something do with what she knew best she perked up. Those who weren't familiar with the term, including Booth looked at her with a strange curiosity. "It's a hominid that-"

"-No." Booth interrupted her textbook-like definition.

"Huh?" She was confused.

"If has the word 'hominid' it has something to do with a skeleton thing right?" He asked her quickly to clarify. Before she could start up again he interrupted again. "Then 'no'... my baby girl isn't gonna be named after something like that."

"Oh." Brennan had wanted to explain, she was disappointed.

"Rebecca."

"Now way." Booth was picky. She readjusted herself under his shoulder comfortably. This would take awhile.

"Danielle?"

"No."

"Thalia."

Booth thought for a second, and whispered it to himself. "No."

"Jasmine. Isabelle?" Sweets asked, picking up his coffee cup from the coffee table.

"No. And no."

"Meghan?"

"Anna?"

"Olivia?"

"Eliza?"

"Patience." Max Keenan perked up. Booth glanced at his; at the sound of it he glanced at his girlfriend then to her father and his fondness for virtue-like sorts of names, for example 'Temperance' and 'Joy' but dismissed that as well.

"Katie?"

"No way."

"Cora?"

"No."

"Regina?"

"No."

All got swift 'No's from the proud father. He had decided that when his precious little girl was born she'd have the best name... ever.

"Booth," His girlfriend, who'd practically snoozed off in the process nudged him.

"Yes Bones?"

"I already have a name; you don't have to do this."

"Really?" He was intrigued.

"Yes."

"Then what is it?"

"Christine Angela Booth-Brennan."

A warmth filled the room. The sleepy pregnant woman smiled across the room, and gave her father a quick glance. Max Keenan liked it very much.

"Then it's settled."

"Christine." The name was whispered quietly throughout the group. That was it.

A/n: So, I know it's short but... it's sweet.

P.S: You know you love it too.
