Last Kiss

He knocks on his girlfriends' door, decided that today would be the day he would pop the
question. The door opens, her father comes out, and shakes his hand. Then her mother comes
out, and gets very happy at the sight of her "son-in-law". The young man, not able to dodge
her mother's peck on the cheek, decides to wait outside for his loved one. Her mother calls
her beloved daughter, and she inmediately comes down; her eyes lit up at the sight of her
handsome boyfriend. She smiles, he blushes a little, and they both head to the spiffy car.
She asks where are they going, he responds she'll know soon enough. When they got there,
it was one of those fancy restaurants. She gasped, surprised, not at the expense of the
restaurant, but at what he had done. She never would have dreamed of her lover taking her
to such a place. They enter. Inside, they laugh, they eat; all in all, had a great dinner.
As soon as they were "on the open road" again, she smiles and hugs him, while driving! He
chuckles, and asks her if she wants to spend her life with him, until death had them part,
and that's when he looks at her direction, but suddenly hears her scream terrorized, and
when he looks to his front, he sees the enormous, beeming headlights of another car heading
to them, and crashed the car down the bridge...
When he opened his eyes, they were still falling. He felt the crushing impact as they fell
to the abominable darkness. His first reaction was to look for his love, which he found not
far away, agonizing, and bleeding through her mouth, looking horrible. He was horrified,
not imagining her looking like that in a thousand years. Up above, people watched. He
realized he wasn't so far from up above as much as he thought. He quickly headed to her
direction. She gasped for air, and cold rain began to fall. She smiled a little, bravely
like she had always been. "Hold me for a little while", she said. He agreed, and carefully
took her in his arms. He stroked her hair, and rocked her slowly, gently. He kept thinking
of ways to keep her from leaving, but he was conscious destiny's will was to go against
him. He looks down at her, her eyes so different from the first time he saw her. Ignoring
her sobs, he started to hum a little melody, in hopes that it would sooth her pain. She
knows he refuses to accept the fact that he would stay and she would leave. She smiles
faintly, and looks up to him. He returns the look, filled with warmth and tenderness; she
could've sworn she saw a tear roll down his face, but then again the rain was pouring. The
pain she felt was maddening. He feels her heartbeat growing weaker, her life force draining
away with every painful pump. The sound of sirens belonging to both police and ambulances
could be heard beneath them. He held her closer, and all of a sudden, time seemed to have
stopped around them. Slowly, he leaned his head closer to hers, and gently kissed her...
Not knowing that kiss and embrace would be eternal... it would be their goodbye...
Not controlling what he felt anymore, he cried desperately, when he realized he would never
see his beautiful lover again.
