A/N: This idea came to me when I watched DH part 2 for the 2nd time. The last scene on the bridge with Hermione holding Ron and Harry's hands made me think, she cared for them a lot. Hope you like it.

Hermione's Boys

Since they had saved her from the troll in first year, they had been her boys. She loved them both for different reasons.

Harry. He was her brother. Biologically he wasn't but that didn't matter to Hermione. She had gone through enough with him to claim him as her brother. Harry was one of the bravest and most humble people she knew. He had never asked for help, he had always been determined to do things on his own. He was always going to have Ron and Hermione by his side, even when he wasn't in danger. She loved him; more than she ever thought she could platonically love a boy.

When Hermione had read about Harry Potter, the Boy who lived, she never thought he would become her best friend. She wouldn't trade him with anyone else; no matter what she had been through with him. He couldn't get rid of her that easily.

She and Harry shared bond that none of the Weasley's understood. They had both been brought up as Muggles, thinking for the first eleven years of their lives they were freaks. They both saw Hogwarts as their first home and the Burrow as their second.

Simply put, Ron was her soul mate. He completed her, she completed him. He couldn't be more opposite than her, even if he tried. There was a pull between them. It had been there for what seemed like forever. Maybe that was why the deluminator brought him back to her. They had a connection that would not be broken, no matter how far apart they were.

He was just as brave as Harry; even if he didn't see it himself. That was what made him so endearing; his modesty. She had come to realise over the years that it was a Weasley trait, just like the red hair and freckles.

He had also been a bit of a git over the years, but now he was her git. She secretly liked it when they argued, but she would never tell him that. She didn't think there would ever be a day when they didn't argue. One thing they did have in common was their fiery tempers. She had never argued with anyone the way she argued with Ron. He unwittingly knew how to press all her buttons at once.

She would always watch over them and care for them, even once Harry married Ginny. Obviously, being married to Ron, it was Hermione's wifely duties to care for him. Hermione loved her boys more than they'd ever know. They were her family, her everything. They shared a bond, incomprehensibly to most people.

They were her boys and always would be.

A/N: I'm not sure about this one shot, but it was just an idea.
