"No," Elizabeth said, before he could get a word out. She glared at her second in command, hoping he would be bright enough to drop the subject.

She had recognised his expression as he stalked over to her in the control room, and was not in the mood to have this argument again.

Especially not in front of the gate technicians. They could gossip like no one else.

"Lizzie, come on," John whined - she was being completely unreasonable.

Ignoring the nickname for the moment, Elizabeth shot Chuck an apologetic look and handed back the report she'd been reviewing for him prior to John's interruption. Apparently, John wasn't as intelligent as he claimed. Resigned to the discussion but determined to move this argument out of hearing range of the technicians, she headed for her office, knowing John would follow.

"No, John. I'm not changing my mind," she informed him, collapsing onto her sofa as he closed the door behind them.

John dropped down beside her, "But, why?"

"Because it's a ridiculous idea."

"What? Like Walter is any better?" John asked, sounding less than enthusiastic.

"There is nothing wrong with Walter."

"There are numerous things wrong with Walter," he disagreed. "But that's beside the point."

"Walter was my father's name," she hissed.

"I know," he sighed. "But I'm not naming my kid Walter."

"Stop saying Walter like that!" He rolled his eyes. Elizabeth sighed, her back and feet ached and she was tired of having this same conversation. "He's my son too, John, and if that's the case we'll just have to come up with something else - something we both like."

"But -" John started.

"We are not naming him Cash!"

"Fine," he replied, sullenly. He was willing to drop the subject for now.

Surely, she'd come around before their son was born - there was still time. Who wouldn't want to name their kid after the legendary Man in Black?

Perhaps he should think of some alternatives, though, just in case he couldn't convince her. She was, after all, the most stubborn woman he'd ever met.

He was silent for a moment as he ran through some options and then, "How about Todd?"

"John!"

A/N: A silly little idea that popped into my head this evening while I should have been studying for my micro exam. Hope you enjoyed it, and reviews are, as always, greatly appreciated.
