Summary: Chonny. Sonny, Nico, Grady, Tawni, and Chad take a day trip to the beach, and well, the title says pretty much the rest.

One Mistake From Being Together

Wind in her hair, friends in the back seat, and the stereo blasting, Sonny Monroe felt invincible. It was studio ditch day in Hollywood, and Sonny, Nico, Grady, Tawni, and Chad decided to head out to the beach. Zora stayed up in her vent as usual. Metro Station's song "Seventeen Forever" came on the stereo of the Cadillac and Sonny drew in a deep breath of the salty sea air.

"...I guess for me this is enough
We're one mistake from being together
But let's not ask why it's not right
You won't be seventeen forever
And we can get away with this tonight"

Sonny sat up straight in her seat, and stiffened. "What the hell?" She waited for that line again.

"We're one mistake from being together
But let's not ask why it's not right
You won't be seventeen forever"

She looked around the beach surrounded highway. Were they watching her? She looked at Chad, who flashed a dreamy smile back at her. Holy shit, the song was about her and Chad. Mistakes lead them closer and closer to each other. Sonny's mistake about faking a fan, and then Chad pretended to be that fan (mistake #1.) Sonny's mistake for bumping into a Chad cut out at his birthday party, which lead to human dominoes, which lead to Chad's head in his cake, which Sonny ate off of him (mistake #2.) Yesterday she was pushed into his arms by and angry Tawni, which turned into a small embrace (mistake #3.) What's next, an "accidental kiss?"
'Oh shoot, I just jinxed myself.' she thought, and knocked the wood side of the beach chair.

As the verse played again, Sonny quickly changed the song. Luckily, the car came to a stop, and Sonny hopped out of the car, and spun around. Of course, Chad was only a few centimeters away from her face, getting out of his side. This startled Sonny, which made her trip, fall into Chad's arms, and they pecked each other. An accidental kiss, coincidence? But it lasted longer than a typical peck. It lasted long enough that Sonny knew that they were finally together.
