"Sasuke, you don't have to bottle everything up inside."

Well this was a surprise, not a good one anyway. He'd thought Kakashi-sensei would teach him a new jutsu, not try to lecture him.

"You can share your sorrows and joys with your friends. When you're upset look to friends for comfort. And when you're happy, share your triumphs with them. A revenger doesn't have to be alone. A revenger shouldn't be alone."

Sasuke raised a perfectly eteched eyebrow in disbelief and scorn.

"To have a true revenger's heart is to have no heart at all Sasuke." Kakashi's voice was heavy and for once he didn't had the playful -kun.

Sasuke knew he was speaking from experience, but he couldn't bring himself to care. He and Kakashi were two different people with only slightly similar situations.

Sensei didn't understand. No one did.

When his student kept giving him that blank stare he knew he wasn't getting through to him. He sighed and ran a hand through his silver hair.

"At the very least, just talk to them. You don't have to pour out your soul to them. Greet them, hang out and have lunch with them or do something. And may I remind you, a grunt does not equal a 'hello'."

"And just who is this them' you speak of." asked Sasuke as he rolled his eyes.

Kakashi just stared at his student. He couldn't tell if Sasuke was being serious of if he was just trying to be difficult, but he decided to entertain his student. "By them, I'm refering to your friends."

Sasuke rolled his eyes and retorted "I don't have friends."

"Sure you do. You even have a best friend. You two are practically brothers."

Sasuke snorted. "And just who is this brother?"

"Naruto, who else?"

Sasuke froze. Did Kakashi say Naruto?

"What, no he's-" He paused for a second to think about the possibility. No, it wasn't even a possibility. He was Uchiha Sasuke, a genius, a ninja prodigy, a revenger. And revengers didn't have friends, or associate with dead lasts. But Kakashi kept giving him that annoying look. Was that a smirk behind his mask. No, there was no way, just no-

"Dammit! How the hell did that happen?"
