Hello! Sorry about my first fan-fic if you've read it... This one won't end in the middle! I hope... I do not own Divergent. Because I wouldn't be writing fan fiction would I?

"James!" my sister shouted, "Get up! Or I will pour cold water on your head!" I groaned and sat up. My sister was loaded with a bucket of cold water. My sister was 2 inches shorter than me, a year younger, and very-no extremely annoying. She had long black hair, just below her shoulders, and she wore a simple black dress to her knees. Her eyes were stormy grey. (Like Annabeth's!)

"Can you put the bucket down?" I asked.

"Once the water's out, yes." It took me a second too long to realize what she meant, and I found myself drenched in freezing water. Ugh.

"At least I don't have to take a shower," I mutter as I go to my dresser for a towel and dry clothes. I dress in a black t-shirt and black shorts.

Choosing Ceremony, here I come.

The leaders all say their faction's motto and such. I tune it all out asking the question that has daunted (like the use of words their? lol) me since the aptitude test. Dauntless or Abnegation?

"Haven, James." Oh no. Oh no no no no no. I slowly walk up to the stage and Max hands me the ceremonial knife.

I want to be free.

The burning coals steam as my blood douses the flames. The sea of black that is Dauntless erupts in cheers.

When everyone has chosen, Dauntless runs down the 13 flights of stairs and to the train. I jump in with ease, being used to this. I help a girl with gray clothing, obviously Abnegation.

"What's your name?" I ask, wanting to know more about her. Why? She's beautiful. Her hair is black, short, and Abnegation style. She has deep, dark hazel eyes that I could stare into forever.

She ponders this for a moment, then replies, "Liz," she looks at me and asks, "Why are you staring at me?"

I blush, "Um..." Smooth.

She laughs, "So what's your name? Actually-wait! I've got a name for you! Starer-boy!" I laugh.

"We're here!" Max shouts. We all jump onto the building, "So. This is your first, well third if you include the train, test to becoming Dauntless. Who want's to jump down off this roof into the hole in the ground first?"

A tall thin, Abnegation girl with black hair and dull eyes walks up and says, "I'll do it." she walks to the edge. She spins around, facing us with her dull eyes now fierce. "No one's going to show me how it's done? I can't risk hurting my beautiful body."
I snigger, "Coward!" I shout, "Also you're not exactly beautiful you're..." she cuts me off.

"Hot?" she questions, batting her eyebrows.

"I was gonna go more along the lines of repulsive."

"Prove you're better than me then. Jump." she steps aside with a smile, thinking she's won.

I smile myself. "See you on the other side!" I stick out my tongue out and jump, laughing at her shocked face.
