Watanuki is important.

Yuuko understands this better than anyone else. She has watched him walk into someone's life and change it completely, just as Fate had planned. This situation has happened more times than it would have because of her influence on his life, and she always took the amount of blame for it. No, she was not sorry. Sometimes though, she forgets about the people that matter to Watanuki the most as she's explaining various things to him. So as he is ranting about something Doumeki did or fawning over something Himawari said to him, Yuuko is reminded that she isn't the only human in his life.

She encounters Himawari only moments after the girl's talk with him, and she is smiling and beaming. Like the sun, she recalls, from one of Watanuki's explanations of her. For a second, it is just like any other time they pass by; greet the other and continue on, but after that exchange of simple words, there was nothing else. There was only a tie between the two, and that was their connection with Watanuki. There would probably never be anything else, which gives Yuuko the right to speak out against it.

"Please don't take him away from me."

( it's supposed to be short – sounding and emotionless. ) Her voice cracks halfway through and she knows she's failed. Himawari's footsteps cease and Yuuko's are the only ones filling the hollow silence. From her spot, the girl smiles at nothing in particular.

"Alright."

( only if you don't take him away from me. )
