Inside The Book!
"Hey, Paige how far along are you on the 3rd Harry Potter book?"
"All most done, Piper." Replied Paige as the two cousins got ready for 'bed' on a Saturday night.
"I told you, you would like them… hey did you know Friday the 13th is tomorrow?" Piper said playfully, laughing at the horrified look that crossed her cousin's face.
"Don't even say the name you know how I feel about Friday the 13th." She said quietly and seriously, but it didn't reach her eyes.
"Okay when did anything bad happen to you on the 13th?" Piper piped in amusedly when it took her cousin a little while to think of something.
"Remember when I cracked my head open in second grade? That was on the 13th!"The triumph in her voice was not hard to hear.
"Yeah, and after that you hated Friday the 13th. What does that tell you?" "Oh, just shut up and drop the subject." She replied frustrated that piper had made a point.
"Hey do you hear that?"Paige asked as they heard loud giggling coming from the hallway.
"Dang it! It's Kira, Autumn, and Virginia…RUN!"She whispered as the two girls jumped up and ran up to the attic as they grabbed their stuff. When they got up to the attic Paige turned on the light as Piper had a sneezing fit. "I hate dust… and this attic but I'm going to look around anyway" Piper said after looking around at the cluttered attic.
"Well, while we are here I'm going to read my book." Whispered Paige as she opened up her book. A few minutes passed and Piper found two antique jade rings, one was red the other a light green with gold bands. "I call the green one!" Piper shouted excitedly as she put it on and Paige put on the red ring. Paige went back to her reading and Piper to exploring the attic soon they became tired and fell asleep.
As they woke up all they could feel was cold and dark, they went to go down stairs when they realized there were NO stairs and that they were surrounded by creepy looking trees. "Where are we?" Paige cried in a panicked voice, but stopped dead when she heard something.
"I don't care where we are, I just want to know who the heck that is!" Piper squeaked pointing to a figure in front of them, as she said this the figure turned around, blood dripping from its FANGS.
