Sanctuary- Zack's Side
He was afraid.
Not for himself. Even as he died.
For the blond he had tried so hard to save.
He was lying.
He was telling the blond everything would be fine this whole time.
Now look where they were.
He had done all he could.
He could see Angeal now… reaching for him.
But Cloud had to be left behind…
The fears and lies piled higher and higher even as he stepped toward the Lifestream.
And then they were gone. Melted away.
Zack had found his sanctuary.
But Cloud had not.
