Mornings were Alec's favorite time of day. He loved watching Embry in those moments before he woke. Watching his lover stretch enticingly… eyes clenching before blinking open sleepily… and then as his lover bolted from the bed to the bathroom to empty the contents of his stomach.
Mornings were not Embry's favorite time of day. They had once been okay but ever since he had gotten pregnant and morning sickness had settled in… mornings were hell. Food never tasted as good coming back up as it did going in.
However, the cold hand on his back that moved up to his neck pulling his hair back made things a little better. Embry groaned before his stomach heaved again. Alec brushed his free hand over the warm skin of his lover's back in soothing motions until Embry reached his hand up and flushed the toilet.
Embry glared at Alec as he moved from the toilet to the sink to brush his teeth. Okay, he actually glared at Alec's reflection but it had nearly the same effect. "I completely blame you for this."
Alec chuckled as he wrapped his arms around his wolf's waist. He pressed cold lips to a warm shoulder. "Now, now Em… just think, in a few months we will be woken up by a baby's cry rather than your morning sickness."
Embry sighed, fighting a smile. "Maybe then I'll learn to love mornings."
