A girl with bright red hair stared out the window by her bed at the star filled night. She was in the Gryffindor tower at Hogwarts School for magic. She was sixteen years old with sparkling, green eyes. Her hair was wavy and down to the middle of her back. Under normal circumstances, one could see her face and immediately realize she had a fiery temper, a perfect match to her red hair. And yet, if one were to look at her now, they would notice a face that was ravaged by fear, not uncommon since there was currently a war in progress. Even more unnerving, though, was the savage anger and grief shown on her face.

Ginny sighed. Ever since Harry had left, she had been feeling sad and confused. I love him so much, she thought. But doesn't that mean I should be out there with him. As soon as the war had started, Ginny's love, Harry, had left, along with her best friend, Hermione, and her brother, Ron. The trio had left in order to confront Harry's enemy, Lord Voldemort, the one who had caused all of this chaos. A single tear rolled down her cheek as she remembered the day Harry had told her they could not see each other anymore.

"Ginny, listen…It's been like…like something out of someone else's life, these last few weeks with you. But I can't…we can't…I've got to do things alone now." She had accepted it in the end; he had to go save the wizarding world, again. What she could not accept, was the fact that he might die-and she would never get to see him again, never get to…say good-bye.

As Ginny sat there, contemplating, her other best friend, Luna, radish earrings dangling, walked up to her. She was extremely eccentric, but could almost always cheer someone up with her oddness. This however, was one of those rare moments she said something that made sense, a phrase she had been saying ever since Harry left, "Remember the movie Hermione showed you?" Then, she walked away.

Ginny remembered. She didn't quite remember the movie, it was something about a ship sinking, but she remembered the song. The song she had christened as hers, as Harry's. Right before he left, she gave him a copy of it.

Every night in my dreams. I see you. I feel you.

That is how I know you go on.

Far across the distance and spaces between us.

You have come to show you go on.

Ginny hummed the song under her breath, until she felt better. She knew that love was the strongest magic of all, and Harry would need all she could give him to defeat Lord Voldemort. Knowing that she had a purpose, Ginny climbed into bed, thinking about how she could help Harry, her love.

Near, far, wherever you are…

I believe that the heart does go on.

Once more, you open the door.

And you're here in my heart and…

My heart will go on and on.
