The Prologue
During a time when magic ruled the world, a fearsome and vengeful leader rose to power. Throughout his reign each and every distant land crumbled before him, falling swiftly under his command. But his conquests were short-lived and soon power was no longer enough for him. Over the years he grew envious and paranoid, deciding that he and he alone should wield all of the magic left in the world.
Frightened for their lives a few of his highest ranking officers fled from his control and joined the forces of humanity. From that point forward they became the creators, formulating plans to eliminate the great leader and restore peace to the world. But in order achieve their objective these magical few first needed to recruit the strongest, smartest and bravest of humanity.
It when was then that four such training exercises were devised to select only the mightiest of warriors. These exercises were disguised as merely games for children. Their appearance hid their true purpose from the evil that had consumed the world.
Together, these four games were designed to test the strength and intelligence of the world's noblest of warriors.
The first was Jumanji, a jungle adventure used to test the resourcefulness of man amidst the forces of nature.
The second was Aquarion, an underwater exploration designed to test a man's sense of direction in unfamiliar territory, along with his perseverance for survival.
The third was Zathura, a futuristic space mission created to test a man's tactical mind and his ability to act quickly.
The fourth was Pelandu, a fantasy quest set in a world not unlike their own. A land where magic ruled, dragons roamed and heroic knights fought for the survival of mankind. And it was within this game where a man's true courage would be tested.
From these games thirteen knights were chosen to fight for their fellow men and vanquish the evil that had spread throughout the lands. Joining forces with the creators the thirteen knights stormed the great castle in the darkest part of the world. And it was there the evil leader gave his stand.
Many died. The number of knights dwindled to four. And through their desperation the creators decided to make one final game. A game which would come to be known as Livékrad. This very game would act as a sort of container, removing all of the darkness from the world. However, by doing so the creators would have to sacrifice their own gifts, taking away every last bit of magic left in the world.
Willingly, they made this sacrifice for the betterment of the humanity. Then finally they locked all five games away so that they would never be played again.
But as some may have already found out…
Nothing stays hidden forever.
