My first TBBT fanfic, I like the way how Sheldon has become more "human" since he met Amy; and we should remember that everything began as a joke from Raj and Howard.
Maybe I'm amazed
Sheldon Cooper could not sleep well; even that Amy sacrificed her idea for a romantic night with him on Valentine's Day he really couldn't sleep well.
After Amy left his apartment and he got ready to go bed, a lot of memories about her girlfriend came to his mind; it was incredible that he, Dr. Sheldon Cooper, would be able to swallow his prejudices of life and his own pride to conquer the heart of a woman when before that, he just rejected any idea related with physical contact of any kind.
When they met, she agreed also of avoiding any affective physical contact like hugging, kissing, holding hands, and obviously… sex. But then she changed too, she became a more sociable person but even so, she respected the contract of Sheldon and remained only as a friend of his.
Then he remembered that day when he asked her to be his girlfriend, he knew after that day that a part of "the old Sheldon" had died and a new and more sociable Sheldon had been born; Amy changed his life in many ways.
He became more honest when he admitted that he was a coward when she discovered that he didn't want her to move to his apartment when Leonard left, the idea of Amy out of his life is horrible to him. Like she told him, she is the best girlfriend that he will ever have in life and he knew it was true.
But the most amazing and honest thing that Sheldon has done till now was when he confessed to Penny and Leonard that he is considering the idea of getting physical with Amy, "The old Sheldon" would not ever say that; it's obvious that he really changed, he became more "human" and all of this is thanks to Amy, his girlfriend; and he couldn't be more amazed of these changes in his life than him. (Well… maybe Penny is more amazed than him)
He didn't know exactly why, but a song sounded in his head while he went deeper in his thoughts about Amy.
