Prompt: He had a soothing effect on her
Leah didn't know how she managed it. She was so angry, so annoyed. But she pushed away the urge to phase. Carefully she closed the door when she really wanted to slam it. The house was quiet and dark telling her that her mother and Seth had already gone to bed.
She avoided the floorboards that creaked when you stepped on them. As quietly as she could she opened the door to Seth's room. All of her anger melted away at the sight of him. It looked like Seth had tried to wait for her but fallen asleep while reading.
Stepping into his room she avoided the piles of dirty clothes, stacks of books and pieces of notebook paper that was her brother's homework. Leah shook her head as she gently pushed Seth over in his bed so she could climb in beside him. Closing his book she laid it on the table beside his bed. Seth sighed as he turned and wrapped his arms around her, his head nuzzling her side.
"…Leah…?" He mumbled.
"Shh, yeah it's me." She brushed his hair back, tipping his head just enough to press a light kiss to his lips.
"Mm, you okay?"
"Always when I'm with you."
A smile came to Seth's lips and she watched as he slipped back into the land of dreams. Yes… there was something about Seth. He always had a soothing effect on her.
