I meant to post this yesterday, but ran out of time. Sorry if it's a little rushed. :(

Mikan stretched her arms. "Mmm, what a good nap that was." She looked at the clock. It was such a good nap. The clock agreed with that. It read 2 o'clock.
…2 o'clock?
"Oh no!" Mikan sat bolt upright with a look of horror on her face. "I overslept!"
Yep, she had overslept. For 20 hours. That was a record, even for her.
"Have to get to school, have to get to school!" She hurriedly put on her clothes and ate break-er, lunch (buttered toast) and ran to school. Which was only 4 blocks away from her home.

Mikan looked at the sign. "Uwah, sure is big." She looked aeround and spotted some friends. "Iincho, Permy, Kokoro!"
"I told you not to call me that!" "Hi, Mikan-chan!"
Perm-I mean Sumire- did not look as angry as she sounded. She had already gotten used to the nickname. Iincho and Kokoro looked ecstatic to see Mikan. "Kitsu's here somewhere. Don't know where, but we'll see him soon."
Mikan smiled. Have you seen Ruka-pyon and Natsume?" she questioned.
Iincho pointed. "Right by the Sakura tree." Mikan nodded and ran off.
"Seems like ages since we graduated, huh, Sakura?" Ruka sounded wistful. "Today's the first school reunion we had since that day." (What? Did you think she was late to school itself?)
Mikan looked down with a sad face. Natsume looked even more gloomy than before.
Yes. That day.
The day they all met up again. The day she regained her memories. The day she went back to Gakuen Alice.
That day she learned she had a cherished friend, not gone but forgotten. That day.
Everyone was deep in thought, thinking of the one person who managed to make this day happen. Hotaru.
Mikan spoke first. "It's not over yet." Everyone looked at her. "My mission to find Hotaru…it's not over yet. This new year…it's a fresh star, a new beginning." Her eyes glowed with determination. Everyone (Narumi, Jinno, Iincho, Tsubasa, Ruka, Permy, Natsume, and so much more) smiled.
It was now dark, close to midnight. Only 15 seconds left. Mikan was deep in thought.
