The Prisoner, Erebor
The lonely mountain upon which their kingdom once stood was
now no different to any other peak, stifled in clouds
and screaming up in pain and misery to that place,
that place that no-one could seem to reach
Though they tried, eleven dwarves, a wizard, and a single little Hobbit man
stumbling upon loose stone and covered holes
to lift the jailor's collar from the mountain stronghold
And yet, not one of them brings with them the means
to slay the guardian of the gate: the deadly dragon
who so viciously guards his keep; they bring nothing, save
their dwarf (or elven) weapons and wits
to thieve upon their rightly vaults behind that guarded door.
