It is very short but I had it in my head for so long I just had to write it down.

One, two, three, four, five, six. Turn and back again. One, two, tree, four, five, six. Turn…

Luciano paced up and down in his small cell. He had been here for three days now and he couldn't take it any longer.

Every night he worried, unable to sleep, about home and his parents. They were probably worried to death.

The first day he had hoped that Rodolfo would somehow find him, a hope that disappeared when night fell.

For the second time he saw the sky grow darker and the stars starting to shine here in Talia. But this time it wasn't on purpose and Luciano felt panic rise.

The thought of his parents made him sick. As an only child his bond with his parents was very strong and he hated to see them in pain. The entire night he could see them fret, imagining how his body would be brought to the hospital and stay there at the IC.

He could still see the look in his mothers eyes when the doctors told them that he had cancer. It was a look of pure panic. At that moment he would have given the world to make that look go away.

The nights that followed weren't any better. His hope that Rodolfo would come was completely gone by now, he just hoped he would somehow get out of here alive.

He walked up and down again, stopping when he reached the wall were he had started.

He banged his head against the wall, hoping that the pain in his head would distract him from the pain in his heart.

It didn't.
