"Gwen a word!" shouted Jack.
It was the following Monday after the team had handled the Weevil-fight club. Owen was still taking time off, and Gwen had come back after a weekend away with Rhys. So she was surprised to have been called into Jack's office so early in the day. Getting up from her seat, she headed into the office.
"Jack, what's this about?" asked Gwen.
"Shut the door," answered Jack.
Frowning in confusion Gwen did as she was asked before turning back around to face a very pissed off looking Jack. She also noticed he was holding a piece of yellowed looking sheet of paper in his hand.
"What's going on?" Gwen asked again.
"When I asked you if you were letting your relationship with Rhys go, you told me you'd sorted it," answered Jack, holding out the sheet of paper, "take a look tell me what you see."
Gwen slowly took the piece of paper and read over it, at first it didn't make any sense to her, and then it seemed as though the figures on the sheet didn't add up.
"I don't understand, what's this got to do with me and Rhys?"
"That sheet your holding, tells me who takes Retcon and how much of it. Ianto was seeing if we needed to acquire any more, when he realized the figures didn't add up. There seems to be some missing, care to explain?"
"I didn't, that is to say why are you accusing me of taking it? Owen could have done,"
"Because Ianto, Tosh and me was chasing a Weevil and Owen was getting the crap beaten out of him. That only leaves you; you were in the Hub alone at one point. Now either explain or I get Tosh to pull up the Hub's CCTV to prove you took it. I do warn you though Gwen, keep lying to me and I will fire you."
Gwen bit her bottom lip for a moment, she didn't know where to start and she knew for a fact she didn't want to get the sack.
"I needed to tell him everything," Gwen answered, finally, "but I didn't want him affected by all of this. So once I had told him, I slipped him the Retcon,"
"You saw what happened when Suzie used it for that means; all she wanted to do was talk to someone. How many times have you done this?"
"Just the once, I swear,"
"You ever do anything and I mean anything like that again, you'll wish I had fired you."
Jack didn't wait for a response from Gwen, before he left his office. He was too angry, at her at the moment and he needed time to calm down.
