"Michael!" Jeremy cried as he ran into the hospital room. Even at 40 years old, married and happy, he was still incredibly close to his best friend.
He knelt down at Michael's bed and looked at his best friend, he was still asleep. With all the cords and drips attached to himself, he looked a lot like Octoboss; an octopus-creature boss, part of their childhood videogames.
Tears were streaming down Jeremy's face, he watched his friend breathed slowly in and out. The breaths were becoming more and more irregular.
A thin, female doctor entered the room, "His family has already said goodbye," she was about to kick him out, before she observed the man kneeling infront of her, "you can have a moment too." and with that, she was out the door.
"Oh Mikey, I know you suffered, I know you are suffering. I-I-I know this cancer thing isn't easy. But p-please... please don't give up." Jeremy breathed, "I-I love you..."
Michael awoke slowly with a rattle, he coughed and tried to gently cup Jeremy's face in his trembling hand. He smiled softly.
"Jer..."
Jeremy held his hand ontop of one of Michael's. He shushed him quietly.
He then gently placed Michael's hand on his own body. The heart monitor started beeping rapidly.
"I... wish... I... could have been... your... player one..."
"Oh, Michael Mells. You have always been my player one..."
He pushed himself up and planted a kiss on Michael's forehead, and with that he was gone. Michael Mells was gone. Perfectly, Imperfect Michael Mells.
