Shikamaru never thought this feeling will ever come across him. The feeling called love. At first he rejected the feeling. Basically he hated girls especially their flirty and irritating ways. But this particular girl is different. She was naïve and simply attractive. The type that Shikamaru likes. She may be harsh and always underestimating him but when she shows her caring side, Shikamaru just couldn't resist her tender and caring ways. Shikamaru's heart just melts away.
Temari. She was the girl Shikamaru loved. Although she was clueless on how he feels, she seems close to him. Always by his side and never letting him down.
She was pretty, naïve, loving and stands on how she feels. She is trustworthy and true to herself.
It was the chunnin exam then. Temari was the scariest and smart opponent he had fought. Soon after the sand country realized their mistake, the team of Temari helped Konoha. Until the present time they're still supporting each other.
Shikamaru and Temari were frequently assigned to be ambassadors and ambassadress to represent their respective countries. So they are together most of the time.
They have traveled a lot of desserts, forests, seas and accomplished both hard and easy missions.
They were very close up to now. From enemies to friends and finally to secret lovers.
Meanwhile…..
They were heading home to their hotel where they were currently staying as a guest to a meeting with all the other ambassadors and ambassadress.
Temari went to her room quietly and so did Shikamaru. She went to the balcony of her room although she was tired she couldn't sleep. There was something wrong she just couldn't identify what.
Suddenly Shikamaru knocked on her door.
"Come in" She said although she couldn't comprehend who would want to visit her in the middle of the night.
"It's me." Shika said
"Oh. What's wrong?" Temari asked Shika as he approached her in the balcony.
"Uhm…."
"You know you've been acting very weird these days." Temari cut off.
Shikamaru looked away wearily.
"Shikamaru?" Temari asked "are you sick?"
"I think so." Shika replied.
"Oh no" Temari said feeling Shika's forehead if it were feverish.
"Not there." Shika corrected as he lead Temari's hand to his chest.
"Huh?" Temari asked puzzled.
"I am sick. Love sick…." Shikamaru said. "Love sick because of you."
"…." Temari was speechless. And a slight blush showed up.
"Temari… I was never like this before. I never felt this way. But I can't keep it anymore. Temari I love you." Shikamaru said.
"I love you too…Shikamaru." Temari replied "I'll cure your sickness."
Shikamaru hugged her tightly. And as soon as they let go, they kissed sweetly as the night drifted away they stayed together in each other's company. Never letting go.
