From Heaven

A/N: I know this story sucks, 'kay? And it's super short too. It's just that I had nothing to do, and this idea was bugging me…but it was a too small idea to expand into a fully-fledged fan fic or oneshot, and too big an idea to completely ignore. So…here we go then. Prepare for a time waster ;(

From Heaven

Nathaniel felt the shock waves ripple through him, vibrating every fibre in his body, every essence in him. Pain surged through him, lighting up his muscles, until it felt as if his limbs were on fire. It burned down to his core, down to his mind, down to his…

Then it was gone. He felt faint, but did not collapse. Why? Nathaniel looked down. He saw his legs, but they were a palish white, and transluscent as well. What the—? Then realisation struck him. I'm—I'm a ghost?

He floated up towards somewhere, high above the skies. Glancing downwards, he saw Kitty running off to the sides, where she fell into a heap at the floor, shaking. Nathaniel wanted to run over and comfort her, but it was useless. His essence and being was being drawn…until a whirlwind of such force came and compressed him…he couldn't breathe, he was suffocating. Then again, he didn't need to breathe. A whooping sound came, and then a deafining silence consumed him. He didn't know if he was floating, or staying still, for all around him, there was just white. Just that: white.

Then pearly gates appeared, their auras illuminating his form with a royal, majestic, glow. A boy appeared from it, his dark skin, brown against the loincloth he wore. Dazzling white teeth blinded Nathaniel for a moment.

Ptolemy? That's Ptolemy? His common sense clicked in. The boy smiled. Nathaniel was shocked. You…you can hear me?

The boy nodded, still smiling, now a little sadly.

Well that settles it, Nathaniel thought. Then he remembered that Ptolemy could hear his thoughts. It's time…time to tell him the truth about everything.

And with that, the two boys walked up towards the golden gates, where they entered, to tell each other tales of their lives, and to watch down upon Earth from heaven.

A/N: What did I tell ya? Boring eh? I know, I know, no need to tell me and go 'well…it was a bit boring and…' and all that stuff. It was just something to kill fifteen minutes (scowls).

Review anyways (shrugs)
