I remember the first time I rode a broom...
"Hey, Hermione. Come on." Harry beckoned, Hermione looking up from her parchment.
"Where are we going?" She asked, while Harry grabbed her hand and jerked her up from her chair, making it tip over and fall.
"Just come with me, okay?" Harry laced fingers with her and Hermione obliged.
Both of them continued walking under the charcoal colored sky, illuminated only by the moon.
"Come on in."
They were at the Gryffindor Quidditch room. Harry opened the curtain for both of them as Hermione muttered, "Lumos."
"What are we doing here?" She asked, following Harry and holding her wand in front of them.
"I'm giving you a
personal flying lesson." Harry grinned and walked down the stairs
leading them to the grassy area where they played Quidditch and held
practices.
"Harry..." Hermione continued to walk towards his
Firebolt, which lay in the middle of the field all by itself.
"You trust me, don't you?" Harry's eyes met with hers, and Hermione nodded in reply.
"Alright then. Do you remember first year? When Madam Hooch told us how to get on a broom?"
Hermione chuckled. "And Neville ended up getting a broken wrist...yes I remember."
Harry shook his head and laughed.
"Well, go on the broom like she taught you." Harry instructed.
"Okay..."
Hermione got on the broom as Harry told her to.
"Good, good."
Harry walked towards her and got on the broom, too, directly behind her. He pushed off the ground and they were levitating about a foot above the grass.
"Ahh!" Hermione squealed, gripping onto the broom tightly.
Harry placed his arms around her and his hands on top of hers, lacing their fingers together and gripping onto the broom together.
"Are you alright?" He mumbled into her ear.
"Y-Yes, I think s-so..."
Harry began to raise them higher off the ground, and soon they were leveled with the highest ring on the field.
Hermione could feel Harry's legs touching hers, and hear his steady breathing in her ears.
"Okay, when I say what direction to lean, lean that way, okay?" Harry said soothingly, making Hermione relax.
"Alright..."
"Left."
Hermione leaned left and turned with Harry around the poles, feeling a sudden rush of air on her face.
"Right."
Hermione followed and leaned to her right, going around another pole.
"Left."
Hermione accidentally leaned right. She squealed, but Harry just chuckled and fixed the direction they were going.
Hermione turned her head and met Harry's gaze, his warm eyes sinking into her brown ones. Their lips were barely touching as the levitated lower and lower, almost to the ground.
Harry filled in the slight space between them and captured her lips in a deep kiss, fiery with passion. Hermione returned the kiss, slipping her tongue in his mouth and dueling with his.
When Harry pulled away, both of them were already on the ground.
"I...I love you, Hermione."
"I love you, too, Harry...Thanks for that personal flying lesson." Hermione winked and grabbed his broom. Harry took it from her and both they walked out of the Quidditch Pitch, hoping to go flying again someday.
