Thunder raged outside, you lay awake, thinking of your favorite Russian man. He was so sweet once you got to know him, but everyone judged him, and called him a monster. You were always by his side, comforting him when he needed it, and he would do the same for you in return. The two of you had been friends for a long time now, and you had deep feelings for him, but would not confess, for fear of ruining your friendship. For now, you were satisfied listening to the rain pattering on the roof and simply thinking of that man with the violet eyes.
You were brought out of your thoughts when the power went out. You got up and lit some candles, and while you were doing so, you heard frantic knocking at the door.
You blinked your (e/c) eyes, and thought 'Who could that be at this time of night?'
You opened the front door and your heart swelled to see your Russian friend, Ivan.
"Hello, Ivan. Can I help you?" you asked.
He said, in that thick Russian accent you loved so much, "Hi, (y/n). My power just went out, I was wondering if yours did too, da?"
You thought of answering 'Of course it did, silly!', but you looked into his eyes and saw that what he really wanted was to come in and be with someone.
So, you answered "Yes, but I have some candles that are light, if you want to come in." He looked you over in your (f/c) nightgown and thought to himself 'She is so pretty', but he simply said, "That would be nice. Thank you sunflower."
On the inside, you loved it when he called you sunflower. You two sat in the kitchen for a while, just talking, until the candles died down and you both grew tired.
You lead Ivan upstairs to your room and said "I have no guest room, but if you want to stay the night, you can."
He gratefully thanked you, and the two of you entered your room. He crawled into your bed, and you blew out the candle at the side table.
Russia gasped and said in a very nervous voice, "(y/n), could you relight the candle?"
You told him you had no more matches. You got under the covers next to him, and you could almost here his heart racing.
You looked into his violet eyes and cooed "Ivan, what's wrong?"
Being his stubborn self he said "Nothing. Nothing scares mother Russia."
You had a feeling he might be afraid of the dark, so to get him to confess, you got up and said, "Then you wouldn't mind if I closed the curtains to block the moonlight?" he screamed"NO! DON"T DO THAT!"
You smirked and said, "Ivan, are you afraid of the dark?"
He quivered and nodded his head. You looked at him sympatheticly. The poor guy was afraid. You got back into bed, and cuddled up next to him.
You could feel him shaking and said, "Shhhhhh, it's okay, I'm right here, you don't have to be afraid."
You felt something wet hit your head, and you looked up. He was crying. It broke your heart to see the strong and mighty Russia crying. You felt like this was a good time to confess.
You kissed one of his tears away and said "Russia, I'll always be here for you, I love you." He immediately stopped crying, and looked into your (e/c) eyes.
He smiled and said " I love you too,(y/n)" You smiled and he kissed you gently. You melted and kissed him back.
It was so gentle and his lips were so smooth. You two broke apart and closed your eyes, wrapped in each others arms.
He mumbled before he fell asleep "Become one with Mother Russia, da?"
You just giggled, and the two of you fell asleep together, the wind blowing overhead.
