1Chapter One
I crept up on a mouse. It was totally oblivious to the fact that I was there. I smirked. Not just at the fact that this would be an easy kill, but at the fact that I was finally going to get my revenge. I remembered the storm, about five sun-rises ago, when Squirrelflight had given me the perfect weapon. She'd admitted that her kits, Jayfeather, Lionblaze, and Hollyleaf, were not her own. Rouges, I thought bitterly. I was careful not to growl as I didn't wish to scare my prey. Rouges, and ThunderClan has more then enough of those! Well, those and kitty-pets like our pathetic leader.
Suddenly the mouse bolted off, and I froze. I heard something, bracken rustling, and paws thumping; loud. I whirled around just as a ginger blur flew at me. I ducked and turned to face my attacker. I was hardly what you'd call 'shocked' to see that my attacker was Squirrelflight.
"Ahhh, trying to increase the offenses against you?" I snarled
" So what? Yes, Hollyleaf, Jayfeather, and Lionblaze aren't my own, and yes, I may be attacking you, b-"
"And the list keeps growing," I sneered. She scowled and that only made my grin widen
"With good reason! You tried to kill Firestar, y-" I cut her off again and said calmly,
"Firestar's an old kitty-pet, his time came long ago," I said. My calmness only enraged her more.
"My father is the best leader this forest has ever seen!" She screeched. I chuckled darkly.
"He's brought in more kitty-pets and rouges then we can keep track of! They're spreading. Th-" this time she cut me off, her green eyes blazing,
"What's wrong with kitty-pets and rouges?!" she demanded hotly. I shrugged.
"Nothing, except for the fact that they aren't, and never will be, warriors." I said simply. She glared at me.
" If they aren't "real warriors" how come StarClan hasn't protested against it?" she said, her eyes glowing with triumph, as if she'd one. I answered quickly, calmly, so not to show my impatience.
"Perhaps they have, and Firestar, Leafpool, and Jayfeather have kept it hidden from the Clan," I said. She looked stunned and upset with my come-back
"Then why when WindClan attacked did the cover the sun to make them leave?!" she demanded, this time her eyes guarded. I sighed and looked so relaxed, it looked like she wanted to kill me, which was probably true.
"windcan's intentions were good, their actions, on the other paw, were not appropriate to StarClan. I must agree on that one...." I waited for her reply, but it never came, instead she flung herself at me, claws out. I tried ducking, but her claws caught my face, scratching it. I huffed and called,
"You're a brilliant fighter and warrior, that's why I was attracted to you, but, I'm better!" I yowled, lunging forward and grabbing her scruff. I heaved her into the river, and I did something a true warrior should never do.......I ran.
