Disclaimers: I do not own Slayers. Or the nickname Xellos gives Zel because Jenna made that up.

Xellos' present.

It was Christmas time and everyone was jolly and happy. Except for one mazoku. He was searching for someone, anyone who didn't have the air of happiness surrounding them. Well, lucky for him he soon found him, the one chimera who always gave off plenty of negative waves, Zelgadis. He was sitting in a cave next to a large fire, complaining about the cold. Xellos popped up next to him, happy to see his secret love.

"What's this? No Lina, did you two have an argument?" Xellos asked, plopping down beside him. Strangely, Zelgadis didn't seem to mind that much.

"No, Amelia was giving me a hard time." Zel said, putting another stick into the fire.

"Ah, so the little terror decided to rub some christmas spirit on you did she?" Xellos was smiling as usual and Zel got irritated.

"Yes. Her idea of giving me something to be happy about was trying to kiss me." Zel shuddered, but not from the cold. Xellos carefully kept his smiling mask on as he silently raged inside. He thought of a million different ways to kill her for trying to strip his chimera of his innocence. He came up with a plan, and it would get him what he wanted too.

"We'll just have to fix that won't we?" Xellos moved closer to Zel. Zel started to get nervous.

"What do you mean?" Zel tried to move away but was stopped by Xellos' strong arms, which had wrapped around his shoulders. Zel was wide eyed as Xellos kissed him and refused to stop. After a while of fighting, Zel gave in. He kissed Xellos back. This surprised the mazoku, and he broke the kiss.

"What-," he started but Zel cut him off.

"I love you Xellos. Which is what I blurted out when Amelia tried to kiss me and thus why I'm here."

"I love you too, my chimera." Xellos kissed him again.

A week later Lina and friends were rejoined by Zelgadis, who seemed happier than usual.

"Mister Zelgadis!" Amelia called in greeting. "Did you overcome your problem?" She had been sure that with some time alone the justice in his heart would win and he would denounce his love for the unjustified monster. Xellos was watching from a tree branch not to high above, waiting for his cue.

"Yes." Zel said with a smile. There was his cue. Xellos teleported down from the tree branch, and appeared with his arms around Zel's shoulders, hugging him from the back.

"How have you been, Pearl Of My Heart?" He called, resting his head on Zel's shoulder. The others stood in shock as Zel didn't blast him.

"I'm fine darling. Glad to see you're back." Zel's reply stunned the others even more. Xellos stopped hugging him and resided to standing next to him. The two of them linked arms.

"So it's true?" Gourry asked.

"Yep." Answered the two boys.

"Congrats." Lina said. Amelia promptly fainted.

"Congratulations from me too. Um… Lina? What do we do about her?" Gourry pointed to the swirly eyed Amelia.

"Just leave her there. She was annoying me anyway." Lina started to walk off, and Gourry followed.

"That takes care of that problem." Xellos said as the two love birds fell into step behind Lina. Off adventuring once again.

Merry Christmas Jenna! Not enough money to buy presents so I decided to type it up at 12:03 am instead. Hope you like!
