Nico has always been a sad, lonely, dark child since he lost his sister. It has been so long that he doesn't remember the feeling of the light that seems to warm his skin when someone is happy, Hades children always feel emotions better. His life revolves around the cold feeling that resonates in his soul. He has come to terms with it.
On one of his trips back to Camp Half Blood he felt it, the prickling of warmth on the edge of his skin. His head snaps up and he looks around, everyone looks happy, but this feeling was different, it felt more than warm, it felt…. Safe. His dull grey eyes met the most beautiful vibrant pair of blues. It was like his entire world revolved around these two beautiful orbs.
His trance was broken when a pair of fingers snapped in front of him, "Nico, buddy, you home? Whatcha staring at?" Nico looked at a different pair of blue eyes, but these weren't the same, these were seafoam green, not sky blue. "Y-yeah, I'm good, and nothing.." He muttered while trying to hide his blush. He doesn't know how every time Percy talks to him he gets like this, he shouldn't feel this way. Percy sure doesn't, why should he?
For the next few weeks everything went pretty normal, except the fact every time he turned he saw those beautiful sky blue eyes, he couldn't do this anymore, he had to confess. He walked up to Percy and held him by the shoulder, "hey, can we talk somewhere?" Percy looked confused then waved bye to Annabeth and the two walked off into the forest.
"Percy, I have to tell you, I've had a crush on you, i still do, it's just… I've seen you with Annabeth, and I want you two to be together, and… I think I found someone also." Nico admitted, Percy looked at him, "you… know I've been dating Annabeth for a while, right?" He questioned. Nico blushed, "o-of course, anyways i… gotta go…" Nico rushed off.
The next few days were magical, he confessed to Will, his sky blue eyed angel, and he actually told him he liked him back! Percy and AnnaBeth seem happy, no monsters have attacked yet, it's all great.
He knows that Percy and Annabeth are going to New Rome to go to school, and he starts to realize that his time with some of his friends has a exoneration date, and he can't help but feel bittersweet about it
