Summary: It wasn't my fault I was born a female, in such dark times. Other nations made fun of me; I had to disguise myself as a man. The ones that knew my secret had either died or forgotten. Female nations now exist, that is true, but I have been disguised for so long. If I were to be discovered, I know that my power would suddenly fall. And though this dangerous gamble still holds, I doubt it will for long. With the former allies uniting against an unknown force, and a traitor being my only hope, every step for me could be a walk into death's doors.

I took a curious step inside the American building, one which I haven't seen for such a long time. The former major Allies of the second world war, uniting again, only to halt all current world affairs. This was something... Something I never thought I'd see. Especially with all that was going on at the moment. It was quite a surprise when my boss made the call. The reason-unknown. He kept jumping around the question of whom we fighting against in the call. And so, I studied the walls around me as I walked inside. Different, I noted, but they had a familiar air.

I finally took the step that would take me inside the meeting room. As usual, I was late due to binding my chest, to hide the secret that I have managed to keep hidden for thousands of years. I was tempted just not to wear them, to see if anyone would notice, or even care. Though, I wasn't going to let a meer meeting and my own stubbornness threaten my country.

I sat down, hoping no-one would take notice of my late arrival. Of course, America had to point out the obvious.

"Hey! Dude! China! You're late!"

"Aiyaa…" I sat down, silently praying for the American to continue his speech, probably about heroes or something of the sort. Which he did, and everyone went back to their own thing. A few nations were listening, but the others, on the other hand, were back to what I had come to know them for over the years. France and England were arguing, and Russia was probably undoubtedly- s...staring at me?

"W-what is it?" I snapped, holding back a soft blush.

"You were late, Jao-Jao~"

"What about it?" He was closer than I originally thought when I entered. I could of sworn he was across the room, but now he was only a seat next to me. Though I admit I may of had a slight crush on the man, it was no excuse for his creepiness.

He slid his hand up the back of my shirt, slowly and seductively. So he was messing with me again, not that I was surprised. I didn't really mind, I was used to his foolishness by now.

"Bandages…?" I flinched, I hadn't thought of the possibility of him feeling my bindings. His hand seemed cold now, sending shivers up my spine. I slapped it away, and glared at him to keep my fear from showing. He started koling, making me flinch slightly. He hadn't done that to me for a while. I couldn't let my slight fear show, so I hesitantly held my gaze.

"You of all people should know better than to be stubborn, Jao-Jao~" The Russian smiled
innocently, and I gulped.

I continued to hold my glare. By now his aura and kols had given us the meeting room's attention. Out of the corner of my eye I saw worry on their faces. I was about to drop my gaze when Russia soon stood up and quietly exited the room.

Tension was thick for a few moments. It seemed to even get to America. I looked down and sighed. The Russian was my on-and-off friend, and over time I developed a liking to him. He was straight, though, and I wasn't about to give up my secret for a little crush. He often messed with others like he had me, and so I knew he only thought of me as a friend.

America looked to all of us. His useless rambling, probably mad to make us all friendly again, since I doubted he knew what we were fighting against either, seemed to have flown from his mind. "Er… Meeting dismissed, I guess…"

All of us stood up at this, and stretched. England let out a yawn, and exited with France as if they were close friends, and their arguing was just an act. I followed them out, and then turned to head to the bathroom. My bandages were starting to irritate me, it was best that I loosened them. There had been no meeting recently, and so I had gotten out of the habit of wearing them, which, by the way, was the worst thing I could have done.

I sighed as my walking echoed around the near empty building, and luckily it wasn't long before I reached the bathroom. Judging by how it looked as I approached, having no signs and a simple door, I guessed it was one of those types that you would find in an everyday house; no stalls, but a single room with a sink, toilet, and possibly a shower. That just made it even the more ideal place to loosen my bindings. However, as I reached for the doorknob, it became clear that I would have to wear the irritating thing for a little longer.

"Hello, Jao-Jao."
