Miki's NOTE: OK... this is my first time doing something like this... I really like Kross and I sorta like the idea of a very close friendship with Raguna... who knows if it'll turn into something else!
It's quick but it was something that came to my mind when I was playing RFF.
Please tell me if I should continue, and sorry if my writing isn't amazing. It was quick but I can do better.
Anyways, don't forget to review and tell me what you think!
Enjoy!
Oh and this is somewhat boyXboy... so if you don't like, don't read.
Raguna stared up at the cloudy sky, his eyes then looked towards the entrance of his farm. A young man, with long black hair covering the right side of his face, walked along the dirt road.
Silently, he made his way to the edge of the river. Raguna decided to drop what he was doing and went to join the other man near the river.
"Kross…" Raguna spoke loud enough to get the other's attention
The man looked at him and spoke quietly, "Hello Raguna, how is the farm doing?"
Raguna nodded his head, "Good I guess…" he smiled, "How have you been?"
Kross didn't look at him but at the water flowing in the river, "Yes… I'm doing fine."
After that neither of them spoke, Raguna was unsure of what he should say.
The silence between them didn't feel all that awkward to Raguna, he actually enjoyed the feeling. They both sat, side by side, listening to the river. He was so caught in the silence that he didn't notice the clouds beginning to form above them, and the distant booming of thunder.
Raguna felt drips of water on his hands, at first he ignored them but within seconds, the rain began to poor down. The wind began to blow, the gusts of wind almost made Raguna trip.
"Kross come on, you'll get sick!" Raguna shouted to the man.
Kross stood up and with Raguna, headed to the farm house.
Once inside, Raguna threw Kross a towel to dry his hair.
After, they both sat near the fire and drank something warm. Outside the weather was only getting worse, it would probably last the night.
Raguna sneezed loudly.
"You're sick." Kross said, his eye looking up to meet Raguna's eyes.
"N-n-no, I'm n-not…"
The black haired man stood and walked towards him and pressed his forehead to Raguna's. Raguna's faced turned a deep shade of red.
"A fever proves you wrong, you're sick."
Raguna staggered to his bed; quickly he pulled the covers over himself. He couldn't help but look at the figure that sat near the fire. Kross had always been rather distant but… Raguna couldn't help but want to know more about the man.
Kross noticed the pair of eyes staring at him from behind.
"S-sorry…"
At that moment, it felt awkward. He wasn't sure why he suddenly wanted to know more… he felt strange.
A loud bang of thunder struck, which caused Raguna to jump, he closed his eyes tightly and coved his ears.
A hand touched his shoulder; it was gently and yet firm.
Raguna's eyes opened widely in shock.
"You're afraid?"
"No… it just caught be off guard…" another loud boom of thunder, this time Raguna covered his face with the covers.
Raguna felt a body lay next to him; slowly he peeked through a small opening. Kross was there, his face staring up at the ceiling. Raguna lowered the covers. Kross' face was calm; he then turned on his side to look at the boy next to him. A small smile on his face, he reached to put a hand on Raguna's shoulder.
"Kross, thank you… and… you can stay for as long as you want…"
Raguna shuffled closer to the man and drifted off to sleep. Kross, not really in the mood to sleep, decided to watch Raguna while he slept.
He smiled to himself, perhaps this was alright… to have someone he could trust, and perhaps tell a little about himself.
He closed his eyes and decided to rest for the evening… after all, the storm would most likely last a little longer than they expected.
