A/N: Misthorse, reporting for duty! This is a Tsubasa fanfic I decided to write; please note that I have only read 1-6 of the books, so pardon any inaccuracies. One shot.

Disclaimer: Me? Draw manga like that? I don't think so!

Black Mokona was missing. The Time Witch stared uneasily out the window, brooding. She'd tried everything, but no spell would bring Mokona back to her. And communication with White Mokona was impossible without the other. She could come to only one conclusion. Black Mokona, the one who'd sealed every bit of magic she'd performed, was dead.

Far away, twenty-seven worlds later, White Mokona was watching Sakura regain another feather. She knew it was the last one; there was a sense of finality to the scene. All (or almost all) of the girl's memories has been returned.

"Mokona says there are no more!"

"WHAT!? About time." grumbled Kurogane, who was in his usual grumpy mood, made worse by the fact that Mokona had been sitting on his head for the past two hours. Syroyan ran up to Sakura, his one and only.

"Sakura, you've regained everything you lost. It's all over now," he said softly, his voice trembling on the last few words. He couldn't believe two years has passed in such a fleeting instant. Sakura would return to her home world and be welcomed back by the kingdom, while he would probably go back to being the nobody he'd been before meeting her. The thought lay heavily on his shoulders, and as he looked at the ground, tears streamed down his face. Sakura stared at him in shock, eyes wide.

"Syroyan? It...it...was you!" she yelled, her voice reaching a shrieking crescendo. Syroyan looked up, confused. But...she couldn't know-or did she? "You were the empty gap in all my memories, the one whom I loved. No, wait, the one I do love. Oh, Syroyan!" she sobbed as she threw herself into Syroyan's arms. The latter was still in a frozen state of disbelief. How in the world(s)? He half expected to wake up and have it all be a dream, but he stayed firmly wide awake. Overcome by joy, he returned Sakura's hug and planted a gentle kiss on her lips. Mokona, meanwhile, knew why the spell had been broken, and this knowledge saddened her greatly. Yet at the same time, she couldn't help being happy for the young couple. Fai grinned mysteriously as he took in the scene. He was a having a rather interesting moment, himself. Power surged through his veins once more. He turned to Kurogane.

"Aww, is Big puppy-san crying?" Fai-san teased.

"Shaddup! I have allergies, you idiot!" Kurogane bellowed murderously. Just then, he saw something that made his jaw drop. A few feet away, something shiny glimmered in the grass. Could it be...? It was. Kurogane snatched it up, pointing it at Fai with a growl. Fai-san just smirked back at him. That did it. He lunged, but his sword hit solid air. Wait...SOLID AIR?! Of course. Fai had put up a magical shield. "Nobody fights by the rules anymore," muttered Kurogane. Suddenly, Mokona plopped back onto his head. This latest development was a bit much. "Oooh, you little manju bun is going to be sorry you ever messed with me!" he roared, teeth gritted with fury. As for Sakura and Syroyan, well, they were too engrossed in each other to notice.

A/N: Well, it's called "When Feathers Fly" because you know the phrase "When pigs fly..."? As in, it probably won't ever happen? Yes, I know, this wouldn't take place, but I can cling to hope!!!!
