Ian sat on the edge of the table, not really looking at anything in particular, just staring off into space, as they say. His gaze then moved past his father's severed, preserved hand, into the mirror on the other side of the room, at his reflection. Behind his reflection was his father.

Father has just informed Ian of what he now had in store for Sara and the Witchblade. That he would be entailing the help of other forces. That he would use Sara's Achilles' Heel, as it were, to ensnare her into his fold. That he would lure her with that which she treasured most. That he would offer her the use of a ruthless band of men to help her in her 'cause.'

Ian thought back to mere minutes ago when father appeared in order to notify Ian of what he had in mind.

"I have a new plan for the Witchblade."

"Why does that sound so familiar?"

"Joke if you will, but this time, regardless of the outcome, I will be the victor."

Ian rose to his feet and walked around to the other side of the table, sitting in the chair placed behind it. He knew that 'CyberFaust,' as he was calling himself to Gabriel Bowman, sent the young man another cryptic, as well as thoroughly encrypted, email pertaining to Sara, the Witchblade, and her current case.

Looking in the direction his father's spirit had been, he said to the air, "I understand, father. I understand." He would go to her and give her further insight as to where she could find the answer she sought after, although not because it was what father wanted. Once Gabriel decrypted enough of the email he had been sent, Sara would put the pieces together and discover that Anna Granger was not the only one after the Witchblade. That even in death, his father, Kenneth Irons, would do whatever it took when it came to Sara and the Witchblade.

Ian mulled, for a moment, over what to expect. He knew once Sara discovered the reason behind the email sent to Gabriel, she would come to Ian to find out if he knew anything more and if he had anything to do with said email. Honestly, Ian hoped she wouldn't come, because then she would have to deal with the man masquerading as her dead father, thanks to the other forces the man, his own father, was deeply involved in, both in life and in death.

Although he had faith that she would prevail in her own way, although not entirely on her own, he still was not looking forward to the decisions he and Sara would have to make in that one crucial moment. Thanks to his insight, from father, on what was in mind for Sara, Ian knew she would have more questions when it was all over. But, then again, questions can have many answers…
