HAPPY APRIL FOOL'S DAY PEEPS! Okay, enjoy this one-shot!

Never Say Never to Pranking

Jack sighed. It was April Fool's day, but he was wasn't pranking anyone. In fact, he felt rather down. Why?

Because there was a freaking robin.

It was chirping in the tree he was lying on. Everyone knew what robins meant; SPRING. Now, don't get the wrong idea. Jack loved his adopted sister, the spirit of spring. But he still wished that winter would last a little longer. Nonetheless, he left Burgess, respecting that Rosaline Fern deserved some space for her season.

Jack then found himself at the North Pole. He was greeted, well, grumpily acknowledged by Phil, the epic yeti. Jack was allowed into the workshop…

…and that's when he discovered why Phil seemed so upset.

The workshop was in total chaos. A couple elves had gotten ahold of some of the toy airplanes, and now were zooming around the room. A dozen yetis where stuck together, binded together by… er- nevermind.

Then the winter spirit saw the other Guardians. And almost died of laughter.

Tooth was trying to untangle her wings from some string that was hanging her upside down from the ceiling. Bunny was hopping around on one foot, holding the other… which had a rather nasty thorn impaled into it. Sandy's dream sand was dyed HOT PINK, and was starting to infect him with its offensive colour. And North. Poor North. The jolly Russian was being tossing around by the wind. He was occasionally slammed into the walls, and thrown at his fellow Guardians, who yelped loudly.

Jack decided to step in. He untied Tooth, earning a very grateful smile from her. Then he grabbed Bunny's foot, making the Pooka fall. And then scream, when Jack very unsubtle-ly yanked the thorn from his foot. There honestly wasn't much to do for Sandy, except freeze him so the dye didn't spread further. However, the Sandy-cicle didn't appreciate being turned into a giant ice cube, and scowled through the thick, frozen water. North, who was still whipping around, screeching in Russian, finally stopped when Jack asked the wind to chill the F out. Jack was pretty sure he heard a chuckle in the breeze…

Now things were quiet, except for the elves' piercing yells and the grumbling yetis.

"Okay… what the heck happened here?" Jack said quizzically.

"The Green twins," Bunny answer, shuddering.

Aliza and Falimer Green were the twin spirits of April Fool's day. They were kids, about ten years old. Well, physically. They've been around almost as long as Jack. The brother and sister loved making extreme fools of people, and always overdid their pranks on April 1st.

"Every year…" North said, very disgruntled. He was still a little discombobulated from his ride on the wind.

"Oi, Frostbite," Bunny said, almost recovered. (His foot still throbbed a little) "I was expectin' you to be prankin' people with the twins."

"Naw," Jack replied. "Don't really free like it." Tooth looked surprised at this. Sandy, whose head was thawed out, had managed to get rid of the pink bits, and was now signaling his thoughts. North translated.

"Iz somesing wrong?" he asked Jack.

"Robin," the young spirit answered simply.

"Robin?" Bunnymund questioned. "Naw, mate. Spring ain't startin' for another week or so."

North nodded. "I still feel ze winter magic. In my belly."

"But…" the robin had been there. Jack saw it with his own eyes. Unless…

He flew out the window in a flash. Jack Frost had a bone to pick with a certain pair of twins.

The robin was a prank, Jack was sure of it. And he knew the culprits. The winter spirit zoomed towards where the Green twins lived, a plan in mind.

The twins were sleeping, probably tired from their epic prank on the Guardians.

Perfect. Jack thought. Then he started setting up a prank of his own. This one was based on one that he had planned out with a friend while he was human. First, he made "toothpicks" with ice. He planted them next to the beds, tiny spikes ready to ambush the twins. Next, he made an icy patch right next to the toothpicks. Then there were two giant, snowy, swinging hammers hanging from the roof. On the walls, Jack planted two "snow pies", ready to be slammed in by same faces. He also asked the wind to help him with the last bit. Wind complied happily.

With everything in place, Jack woke the twins very abruptly, by screaming "HAPPY APRIL FOOL'S DAY!" at the top of his lungs in their ears. And then pelted them with snowballs. The twins were first boggled, but then became angry. They chased after Jack, stepping on the toothpicks that the winter spirit easily avoided. The yells shook the room. The twins hopped around, sliding onto the ice. Then they were slammed into the snow pies by the giant hammers, one for each Green. The wind, ready for his part, then swept the kids off their feet, spinning them rapidly, before setting them at the feet of a waiting Jack.

"So," the winter spirit started. "You thought you could get away with the prank, huh?"

"Wh-what?" Aliza said.

"What are you talking about. We didn't even do your prank yet," Falimer said.

"You seriously thought I'd believe that?" Jack asked. "Who else would plant a robin smack-dab in the middle of a snowfall?"

"A robin?" Aliza burst out laughing. Then her brother joined in.

"You went through all that because of a robin?"

"What?" Jack scoffed. "I'm the WINTER SPRIRT, HELLO?! Robins are like, my mortal nemeses"

"I'd bet you it was the other Guardians or something," Falimer said. "We swear on the the crown on Mother Nature's head." That was serious oath.

Jack thought for a second. Then he apologized to the Greens. They laughed, and told him they hadn't been pranked so well for half a century. Then Jack flew to the Pole again. With company. Mischievous company.

"NORTH! KANGAROO! TOOTH! SANDY! GET YOUR IRRITATING BEHINDS OVER HERE BEFORE I FREEZE THEM OFF!" Jack yelled as soon as he got there.

Said Guardians came out, laughing, but then stopped when they saw the murderous look in Jack's icy eyes.

"So. Happy April Fool's day," he said, scarily calm. Then the Green twins came from out from behind him. The three smiled ominously. Let's just say what happened this morning was a "little accident".

Jack smiled. He loved April 1st. He was ALWAYS in the mood for pranking, after all.

TEE-HEE. EPIC! Cherish the word.
