Grinning wryly, Rumpelstiltskin studied the book before him. He knew very well what was inside Grimm's Fairy Tales. He giggled to himself while skimming the binding, sending a chill down the spines of every being who heard his amused chuckle. These were the tales of everybody from his land. Yet not a one was the traditional, merry fairy tale. All were dark, the characters twisted with their own purposes, and he surely was no minor villain. Still, he decided to purchase the book in hope the familiar tales might jog something in his beloved Belle's memory when he returned home.
