She looked at him, with her bright blue eyes. His hand was laying on her leg but that didn't bothered her, she liked it. She was comfortable with it. You could see how terrified she was. Everything she has been through the past couple of days were horrible, she wished that she could forget it but that was not an option. She could not forget what fifth had done to her. The torture was bad, he had showed her everything of her past. She could now remember every detail, things she was forgotten for years now did she remembered again.

But there was he, Jack, he smiled at here. Just a little smile, nothing big or anything. He just noticed that she was in a lot of pain. While Daniel and Teal'c went away, he stayed with her. Not saying a word. But he didn't have to, she knew that he was there. She knew that if she wanted to talk he would be there for her, but she didn't say a single word. She bended forwards to get up and just at that moment jack touched her hair, just a little gentle touch. He takes the leaf that is in her hair out of it. There faces are close to each other, and they just look at each other. Her bright blue eyes look into his dark brown eyes. And she knows what she is going to do is so wrong but still she can't restrain herself, she has to do it. Gently she pushes her lips on his.
Jack is surprised of what Sam does but he isn't retrieving. He just let it happen cause that is what he always wanted. But suddenly he remember that she is with Pete and how much that hurts for him, he can't let her commit adultery. So he stops kissing her and walks away to Thor's vessel. Sam looks at him and just follows him.

She starts thinking about what she has just done and knows that it is wrong but it felt so good. For the first time in a long time she felt happiness over her. There was a warm feeling inside her, a feeling she hasn't felt for a long time. Even went she went with Pete to that dance she didn't feel it. The feeling she had for Jack was indescribable. But she was realistic and knew that they would never be together. When they are sitting in the ship going home they don't speak a word. Daniel was talking to her and Jack but he wasn't getting a lot of response. So after trying, and trying to talk, he finally stopped. The look that Jack and Sam gave each other said so much… they both know what they have done and they know it can never happen again. But why doesn't she feel guilty? She know that if she would tell Pete, he would be disappointed and hurt. So she would never tell him… He will never know what she did.

After arriving at base she immediately took a hot shower and changed her clothes. Ready to go and walking to her car, she bumped into Jack in the hall.

"Carter" does jack say with an emotional voice.

"Sir?" does she answer very stoic.

"Going home?" getting his normal voice back.

"Yes, I am going out with Pete tonight" does she answers dry.

"Ah ok Carter have fun tonight" you can see that he is disappointed over the fact that she is seeing Pete.

"Goodnight sir" she walks of.

They never spoke of it again and Pete never knew what happened with her and Jack that day.
