I own nothing

The main reason I had taken the story down was because my writing style had changed a lot! So when I was reading this story I was like, ew, this is horrible writing. So I took it down for revision and added a few things here and there. Added more detail etc etc etc. So don't hate me too much. okay?!

I know some of you guys were disappointed that the other update wasn't a new chapter, but a message from me! I'm so sorry for that, but here's the new BC, and it's not a lot different but I made a few changes! It's not much, and it won't change the plot line dramatically. Hopefully I'll get the other chapters up and uploaded by today to! Thank you all for the amazing reviews and support! I love all of you guys!

Happy reading everyone, and PLEASE LEAVE A REVIEW!

MIKAN POV

"Mikan Sakura, Best Singer of the Year" (A/N: Also called BSOTY.)

Yep, that just sounds about right. So I try and say it in a British accent. Still sounds good. Now for my Robot, so now there's French, Spanish, and the German accent left to go.

Knock. Knock. Knock.

"Mikan, are you talking to yourself in there?" my step-sister, Luna, asks me.

I was about to say I'm talking on the phone, but then I remember I left my phone downstairs, so that's out of the picture. So instead I say, "No, you're just hearing things Luna. Are you okay? You need to get your ears checked?"

"Liar, and no," she retorted opening the door, "but let me guess, you're trying to see how your name sounds when Narumi announces you as BSOTY. Am I correct, or am I correct?"

My silence and tomato colored face is enough of an answer for her. She snickered.

Bastard.

Getting out of bed in my Hello Kitty pajamas, I started to push her out of my room, saying, "Alright, alright, I'll come down, so just leave – or do you want to watch me change, that is?"

Her face had given me a look of supreme disgust. "Why the hell would I watch youof all people change? Even if I did watch you change, you have nothing to show. So instead of wasting my time I'll leave." with that, she stalked out.

What to do? What to do? I thought shrugging my shoulders.

I slowly started to walk down the stairs, hoping they wouldn't hear me, but of course, the hardwood floors just had to play the song of their people.

"Mikaaaan~"

Kimiko.

She came barreling towards me and gave me this huge hug as if I had been gone for decades. I hugged her back, just not as tight. Once she let go and I could breathe again, I walked towards the dining table. At this point I sincerely thought my dad slept with his suit on.

"Oh sweetie~ Breakfast time! Eat up, eat up!" Said Kimiko cheerily.

"Whoop-ee"

Don't get me wrong, it's not that I hate my step-mom. It's just that she just asks me the weirdest questions, like: Why can't you act more like a girl, more like Luna? Why do you always wear black clothes? Are you depressed? Where did that soul mate of yours go?

That last question of hers literally made me choke on my food and fall headfirst out of my chair.

Soul mate? I don't even have a decent classmate to talk to, let alone a soul mate? I inwardly retorted.

"Oh, he's just out there somewhere killing time, probably wondering about me, oh wait, I forgot, I'm gonna die alone like Luna told me I would. Mostly because I'm more interested in singing than mingling with the 'chicks'." I said adding emphasis quotes on the word chicks.

Well, That's what they call my sister and her friends at Alice Academy, the super prestigious private school that only the selected talents get in.

Getting back to Kimiko, you want to know her reply?

"I swore you and Natsume were made for each other!"

I snort. Made for each other? Yeah right. Our lives consisted of hair-pulling, ketchup-wars, and last but not least, underwear-peeking, his all time favorite past-time for me. I still remember that ridiculous name he always called me, Polka-Dots. It made me think about our "quality time together". Oh barf.

Only reason Kimiko thinks we're made for each other? Pretty much because we went through one family picnic together without me ending up trying not castrate him with the butter knife. So yes, she's absolutely correct. We are the most completely compatible soul mates in the world. Sarcasm very much intended, please.

"Okay class, today we will be studying some famous singers of today. What we will basically do is pick a singer name his or her faults, if you can find any, and name their best points. What do they mostly sing about? Do they inspire you? How do they inspire you," our singing instructor Mr. Narumi (A/N: He's not referred to as 'gay' here really.) told us, "so, to start us off, Miss Sakura, which singer will you bring up today?

"For my singer, I chose Beyoncé Knowles. I believe all of her songs relate to everyday life," I heard some people snicker in the background, then shutting up by Narumi"s creepy 'look', "okay then, well most of her songs do anyways. I can't really find any faults with her, but her best points are that she stands up for herself, knows how to keep her dignity, and she always pushes forward even when the worst is thrown at her. Yes, Beyoncé does inspire me, and the how is the most trickiest part. Beyoncé, when she sings, she pours out her heart into her songs, she never holds back, and she stays true to herself. When she does those things so easily, it shows me I can do it to, so I try and try, not giving up. So yeah, I have chosen Beyoncé as my famous singer, and I am not backing down from it." I concluded, and just in the nick of time too, the bell just rang.

"I need Miss Sakura and Miss Usami to stay after class please. Thank you." Mr. Narumi announced before we left.

Once everyone left the class, Mr. Narumi went straight down to business.

"You guys remember what BSOTY is right?" We both nod our heads, "Well, election days are coming up soon. As you both know, you need to prove yourself to me. So as your first task, I'll give you this project. There will be 8 new people coming to our school. You will both me assigned each 4 a person. I need you to interview them thoroughly and as best as you can. Oh, and please, keep nonsensical questions for another time? This will be going on the newspapers. Since you do both know BSOTY in not only about singing, it's about leadership, responsibility, and cooperation. So, are you guys up for the challenge?" He concluded.

Wakako and I immediately nodded our head in aggression.

This battle is so on.

Until next time!
