Hey everyone. I'm not new to fanfiction, but I haven't written anything for it in at least a year. But I'm kinda road blocked on one of my own stories, so I decided to stretch my writing muscles and write a new fanfiction story! It's a Remus/OC story, which I've never written so it should be fun. I love all reviews, and any feedback would be greatly appreciated. So, without further adieu, I hope you like it!
Chapter 1
Camille Hannson waved to Lily's parents on Platform 9 ¾. She missed them already, even thought she knew she had just given them hugs not three minutes ago. She had spent the majority of her summer staying at her best friend, Lily Evan's, house. Her parents had been sent on an Order of the Phoenix mission two weeks after she had gotten home from her fifth year. She had owled Lily, and she had admittedly told her to come over and stay with her.
"Cam, come on I found the other girls." Lily said, laughing as she pulled her friend away from the window.
"Don't you have a meeting to go to?" Cam asked, raising her eyebrows.
"Yeah, but Remus quit so I'm not too thrilled to see who the new prefect will be." She rolled her eyes.
"Think it'll be Potter?"
"Why would Potter be a prefect? Him of all people? He's one of the most immature people I have ever come in contact with, and you know that." Cam rolled her eyes at her friend. She had Arithmacy with James Potter, so she actually knew he wasn't as bad as Lily thought, he just acted that bad when she was around.
"Well it took you long enough." Hestia Jones said, once the two girls opened the door to the compartment.
"Oh, quit your complaining." Emmeline Vance rolled her eyes. "You've done nothing but complain since you got here, was your date really that bad?"
"I forgot about your date!" Mary McDonald squealed, quite loudly.
"What date?" Lily and Cam asked at the same time. The both had been at Lily's aunt's house the whole summer, and been practically cut off from the wizarding world.
"Hest went on a date with none other than Sirius Black." Mary said, trying not to laugh.
"You didn't," Cam asked, trying not to laugh as well.
"Well, you have some explaining to do Hestia, but it'll have to wait till after my meeting, because if I don't leave now I'm going to be late." Lily said as Hestia opened her mouth to tell the story. "Wish me luck."
Not five minutes after Lily left the compartment, the door opened again. The four girls left in the compartment looked up to see the Marauders, Remus Lupin, Sirius Black and Peter Pettigrew come through the door.
"Where's your fearless leader?" Mary asked the three boys. "Forgot the train left today?"
"Nah, Prongs is being boring and is a prefect this year, so he's at that lame meeting."
"James Potter is a prefect? Oh poor Lily." Cam laughed, as Remus laughed with her.
"You wouldn't imagine how excited James was when he got that badge." Remus told her sitting next to her. The two took Muggle Studies together. Though Cam's best friend was a muggle born, she still thought it would be a fun class to take.
"So why are you guys here?" Cam asked him quietly, knowing he wouldn't even fake offence.
"Sirius was bored, so he decided to come bug you girls and we followed,"
"Oh joy," Cam rolled her eyes as Remus laughed next to her. She looked up and saw an annoyed looking Hestia with Sirius' arm around her. "Poor Hest."
"Actually I don't know who I feel more sorry for, because she's just going to get him back in class tomorrow." Remus whispered to her.
"What are you two kids whispering about?" Sirius raised his eyes, and Cam swore she saw Remus blush.
"What are you boys, doing in our compartment?" Cam heard Lily say, quite loudly, clearly annoyed.
"But, Lily-Flower, I thought you loved me. I thought you would have missed me over the summer." Sirius said, faking amazement.
"Black, I wouldn't test her patients, she just had to go through a meeting with your best friend, whom she claims to hate." Mary reminded him, as if he needed reminding.
"Oh, where is James?" Peter asked, clearly just remembering his friend wasn't in the compartment with them.
"Looking for you three I'd assume, though I'm sure this will be the first place he'll look after he sees you all aren't in your compartment." Em spoke up for the first time the Marauders joined them.
"This is going to be a long train ride," Cam whispered to Remus as Lily continued to glare at Sirius. "And probably pretty entertaining."
After, what Cam had guessed, a long train ride of arguments, and interesting conversations the nine sixth years got to their home. The five girls detached themselves from the boys, and soon found their normal spot sitting at the Gryffindor table, and began the long, boring wait for the sorting.
"Well there you girls are, we lost you back there!" Sirius said, loudly. Lily groaned and put her head in her hands, while Em, Mary and Cam laughed, whereas Hestia just glared at the four boys.
"Do you ever go away?" She asked, rather harshly.
"Well, we would go sit by Alice and Frank, but they're looking a little to comfortable, and those are the only other seats open, so you all are stuck with us." James gave them the famous Marauder grin, and found himself sitting next to Cam, and across from Lily. "Aw, come on Evans, try to look a little excited. At least we're not boring."
"I don't know if that's what she's upset about Prongs," he said laughing, winking at Cam as she watched the encounter. She felt her cheeks heat up some, before looking away quickly.
"James, just drop it," Cam laughed. "I think she's had enough of you already today." He looked up, and seemed a little upset.
After dinner the nine of them made their way, slowly, up to the Gryffindor common room, all tired after the long day. The boys made their way to the couches as soon as they got into the room, whereas the girls made their way to the dorms.
"We're losing you girls already?" Sirius gasped.
"We are all tired, so calm yourselves." Mary told him.
"See you tomorrow!" Sirius then yelled across the room, waving his hands like the crazy person he was. "We'll wait for you before breakfast."
"Please don't," Hest and Lily said at the same time. Cam could tell that the next day would be another long day of dealing with the Marauders, and why they were trying to attach themselves to the girls she didn't know, though she would find out.
