Author's note: This is my first ever completed poem and it's not my native language, so excuse any fault you might find and let me know. I hope you enjoy it! The document manager was crazy and wouldn't allow line breaks, so a lot of l's had to do it.
Pandora's box flew open
She was sent out,
No one could cope
The world was broken
What was it all about,
Where was hope?
llllllllllllllllllllllllllll
She came into your path,
A dim apparition
You got a taste of her wrath,
But missed the ignition
As bittersweet as it may be
You failed to see
The spark in your mind
You were just too blind
lllllllllllllllllllllllllll
The battles continued to rage
Not fought with steel,
Fought only with your wit
It was a war worthy to wage
Yet you began too feel,
And you knew the spark was lit
llllllllllllllllllllllll
Suddenly it all fell apart
She was gone
The beat stopped in her heart
The game was done
You gave into the spark
It was a light in the dark
You nurtured it into a flame
Burning with her name
llllllllllllllllllllllll
You never knew
She was still breathing
It was another battle lost
She had fooled you,
Tricked you into grieving
But to what cost?
lllllllllllllllllllllll
You said; "The flame is no more"
Wanted no one to know
Then she was at your door
And you had to reap what you sow
It all went so fast
She's a master at her craft
Leading yourself to the gallows
Turns out you can be callow
lllllllllllllllllllllll
For all her charms
She never had a friend,
Nothing was ever true
She had only caused harm
But in the end,
All she wanted was you
llllllllllllllllllllllll
The flame never died
Never had, never would
It was a secret you had to hide
No one would have understood
You couldn't let her go
The game wasn't just show
The rescue was true
You wanted her too
lllllllllllllllllllllll
Pandora's box flew open
She was sent out,
No one could cope
Then you heard it spoken
It was no doubt,
She was also hope
