Ok, this is one really REALLY random story that I wrote awhile ago for my friend when we were bored… I just found it and im avoiding studying for my English final tomorrow, so I thought I'd take up time and post it on here… enjoy… r&r if ya want to
Jack and Sarah have been going out together since the end of the strike. They seemed to be perfect, but they were far from it. She was just so STUPID! And jack couldn't stand it! She wouldn't answer any of his questions. She would either laugh with a strange expression on her face or she would say "I better get ready for work. She was just a drag.
I gotta get rid of Sarah! Shes not what I expected she would be! AT ALL! I just wish she were smarter. I have to break this off, but I don't know how! I gotta get some advice, and I know just who to ask!
He then got up form the bench he was thinking on and he started journey to his good friend, Spot Conlon. He lived all the way in Brooklyn, so he had a long ways to go. When he got to the bridge, he could just see the dock of Spot's lodge in the distance jutting out into the water. On it, he could see that someone was sitting there with their feet in the water.
When he finally got to the lodge, he could see that the person sitting on the dock was Spot. He walked over to his friend who seemed to be also deep in thought.
"Hey spot, hows it rollin'?" he asked as he sat down next him. Spot didn't look at him. He just kept his eyes on the water.
"Hey" he said with no personality.
"What's wrong wit you?" Jack asked.
"Nothing" Spot said finally looking at him. "Its just…. Never mind."
"What is it?" Jack asked hitting his friend on the back.
"Alright, I'll tell but don't laugh!" Spot said. Jack just sat there ready for Spot to tell him. "Ok…… I think theres a monster in the water."
"Huh?" Jack said with a laugh.
"See told you you would laugh!" Spot said standing up. "You see, if you watch the water, you can see it move really weird, ya know? And ya know West? Well he said that last night, whatever was in the water came out and almost ate 'im!"
"So you're trying to tell me that theres-----" Jack started, but then something came out of the water. It was some kind of a monster. It had huge teeth, bigger than Snitch's, and could probably eat about 2 newsies at a time.It had no arms or legs, but a huge tail, about 20 feet long.It did some kind of a dive back into the water.
"Ya see! Ya see it! I told you!" Spot said to Jack. Jack was dumbfound, but then he had an idea.
"I'll be right back!" he said with a big smile on his face. He then ran all the way back to manhattan and over to Sarah's place. He then got there and told her that they were going on a date and that they were going to swim in Brooklyn.
"Oh! let me get my bathing suit!" she said. She then went into her room to get changed. After about an hour later, she came back out, ready for swimming. Jack lead her out andthey both then went to Brooklyn. Sarah got in the water. Spot then came running over from theBrooklyn lodgeto warn Sarah to watch out for the monster.As he cameup to the end of the dock, Jack pulledhim aside before hecould say anything about the monster andfilled him in on his plan.All of a sudden, the monster came and ate Sarah. Swallowed her whole! That was the last time anyone would ever see her again... not that anyone ever noticed though...
"Well," Jack said as he got up and clapped his hands together. "I guess breaking it off with Sarah was simpler than I thought."
