Something Happens to Rin
The End
Just kidding!
~Yuri's POV~
My sons' sleeping faces are so cute. It was always a fun trip; to come into their dorm room and see Rin sleeping on his messy side of the room, and Yukio on his clean side of the room. If I was just here for one of those nightly visits, I'd stay and spazz out over their adorable little faces, much like a spastic dog lover would a golden retriever or a shih tzu puppy. It's just... tch... they're just... owh, they're just suh CUTE!
But I'm here strictly on business tonight.
The Council said having both of them alive was simply too dangerous, but to kill both would be unfair to both. It was put to a vote and decided that I would decide which one I would take to Elysium.
I had decided I would take Rin.
Now, I'm not playing favorites or anything. It's just that, he's been through more than what many people go through during their entire lifetime in just his 16 years of existing. So much turmoil, so much pain. Yukio, on the other hand, had friends and a career going for him. Yes, he did feel quite a bit of pain, but, let's just be honest. He's hasn't felt as much pain as Rin. This decision is more of an 'end-the-misery' type, a lot more than I would like it to be, but I had already decided. Besides, Rin wouldn't ever join Shiro, me, and eventually Yukio and maybe even Kuro in Heaven in the years to come. His lifespan, as a demon, is far too long. Should he ever die, certain forces will try, and likely succeed, to prevent him from reaching Heaven.
Really, this is better in the long run.
I'm not necessarily an angel, due to a few certain decisions in my life, but I had still been saved at a young age, so I ended up in heaven anyways. Couldn't stop me from visiting Assiah, but still.
"It's time to go..." I wrapped my arms around my sleeping child's form and lifted him up in bridal style.
"Come on, Shiro's waiting..." I ran the hand closest to his head through his hair gently as I basically floated over to the window. It opened once I came near it, with a slight creak, causing Yukio and Rin to both to stir in their sleep but neither to wake up. A bright light then shone through the window, never reaching Yukio's face but directly in Rin's face.
"Yukio... what's happening?" He stirred, but I figured that he must still be half asleep, if he's confusing me for Yukio. It makes enough sense, though. Yukio did pick up my looks, after all.
"We're going somewhere... say bye to Yukio..."
"I don't know why I would say bye to you... but okay... bye, Yukio..." Rin slurred and went back to sleep as I turned my back on the light and felt myself drift backwards and upwards as Assiah dissolved and faded around me.
SO SHORT!
Das vedania.
