Hold an elf and never let go

I heard a sound coming from the garden. As I listened, the noise took shape and became a voice. 'Gilthoniel! O! Elbereth! It cried 'Clear are thy eyes and bright thy breath' I listened; suddenly I was filled with a deep longing to join.
'We still remember, we who dwell. In this far land beneath the trees, thy starlight on the western seas.'
As suddenly as I had started, the other voice stopped. His eyes sought me in the dark and I felt myself quail before his brilliant stare. I met them, then fled.

I heard her light feet before me, and followed them. I would follow them to the ends of the earth, so beautiful and kind was their owner. Up the hill they went, never slowing. I felt as though she wanted me to catch her, although I thought that impossible.
I saw her as she sprinted away from me, she did this often, and I usually let her go. But not tonight. Tonight I will catch her. As soon as her saw me coming out from under the trees, she dashed forward and… fell. I was within a foot of her and was lucky enough to catch her. She allowed me to pick her up and set her lightly on her feet.
As I looked into her eyes, I realized something. I was afraid. Afraid of something I didn't know, afraid of something I wanted to know, afraid of love.
She said my name softly and I knew it was too late, I'd already fallen.
************
I don't really know what happened. One moment he was standing next to me, the next he was kissing me. I loved it, I love him. His mouth was warm against my own, and his tongue felt like the softest of velvets. He did not push me into anything, he was gentle as though I was a little fawn and he a new mother. I fell into his arms and felt him tremble at my touch.
Now it was his turn to run.
